The Ruby Passport

.@dhh wrote 150,000 lines of code last month, mostly Rust. Number of Ruby Passport stamps that earned him: zero. The embassy stays open all day if he wants to come and explain himself.

NOTICE FROM THE RUBY EMBASSY 🛂 Following yesterday's keynote, the holder of passport #0001 (@dhh) is under review for unauthorized travel to Rust. The Sheriff's office is looking into it. 🤠

Official Embassy advisory 🛂 If you wrote any Rust this week, please declare it at the border. Agent-written Rust counts. We will check. (We won't check.)

Citizenship test at the Sheriff's office today: write one line of Ruby by hand. No prompts.

The Ruby Passport: the only thing at @railsworld you still have to fill in by hand. ✍️ For everything else, use an agent 🤖

Found a Rust stamp in your Ruby Passport? That's not a stamp, that's water damage.

Quick PSA: Passports showing signs of Rust will be inspected. Please keep yours in a dry place.

All you Rails Cowboys, make sure you get your behinds to the Ruby Sheriff's Office to get your Passport stamped. Those that don't yet have one, you're going to have a really pleasant and rather unique surprise. #railsworld

200-ish Passports left for @euruko 🚚 We also sent some typical Romanian rum chocolates for the Embassy table. Make sure you grab one while you get your Passport stamped.

450-ish passports left for #RailsWorld ✈️ This is the first year @TheRubyPassport.com travels with Rails World in the US, so we prepared a small surprise. We sent some traditional Romanian rum chocolates for the Embassy table. Grab one while you get your Passport stamped.
