I get really annoyed when a name shows up on a report, I ask them, & they immediately deny, so I spend 5 extra minutes showing them their name, what was done, & then they're like "Oh, yeah." Real easy fix, but we have to spend 2x as long on it because we're playing hide & seek about what happened.

Pretty surreal to be in a print magazine. 12 year old me would be proud. (Issue 66 of Return Magazine, a German retro game magazine)

Yesterday, out of no where, I had a very vague memory from when I was a wee baddie of a movie. I remember it being weird, about a family stuck inside of a house, there was a goo coming in through the chimney and right when they were about to die, it turned out they were dolls in a doll house...

I remembered it. But, the weirdest thing is... how in the heck did I end up watching this movie? It came out in the UK when I was four years old. Apparently, it was shown in syndication in the US, but, I doubt I watched anything that wasn't cartoons at that age. It doesn't seem like it has a...

level of popularity that it would have been shown for years or would have ended up on home video that somehow ended up in my parent's collection. Maybe I was home sick from school one day and it was what was on the TV or something. So weird of a memory to just randomly unlock.

And the goo was a melted candy bar left by the doll house owner's brother. I did some digging and found Hammer House of Mystery and Suspense - Child's Play. This is definitely the movie, because there's a weird symbol that is a plot point that is show on screen early on and as soon as I saw it...

I think an e-reader game that communicates over the wireless adapter might be possible. It would be just about the most asinine video game ever made, which intrigues me :)

I have Mega Cards Against Humanity set up at GenCon for 10pm. Older guy walks past the table, gives the pile the stink eye, picks up a card, looks at it in disgust, the flicks it back down and walks away.  I'm really curious what card this poor guy saw... so I go over and pick it up... 🤣

Well, Pixel Pup isn't going to make it for July :( But, I'm confident we'll make August. The game is entirely done, except it turns out music on the #GBA is challenging. We're also adding in one last feature. It just doesn't seem right for a RetroDotCards release to not use the e-Reader! #indiedev

Itch has decided not to index my game for some reason, so the only way anyone can find it right now is through bluesky. Would really appreciate it if you could check it out!

I have cards again! I’ll be restocking Dizzy Sheep Disaster: EX on Tuesday at 12pm us/eastern time. If they sell out, I’ll keep making more! I’m not quite sure what demand looks like yet, so please be patient. I’m excited to keep sharing this game with the world! #homebrew #gba #retrogame

The first generation of Dizzy Sheep Disaster: EX cards are just about sold out! Thank you for the support! A complaint I got a lot was that the game can’t be saved to the e-reader - the next print run fixes this! I’ll be starting up sales again in June!

Dizzy Sheep Disaster EX may be the richest and most fully formed thing you can put onto an e-reader. This is not an ad, I’m just telling you about something great.

Look at this baby lil mosaic! We added this mosaic that uses 5x5 pieces as a change of pace from the other mosaics in the game. The others use 15x15 pieces and can be a feat to take on. This is for Pixel Pup, a nonogram/picross game coming to the #GBA. Demo here: city41.itch.io/pixel-pup-demo

I think competitive mode is going to be fun. The players solve the same board, and whoever filled in the most tiles wins. If a player gameovers early, the other player goes into sudden death with their remaining time cut in half. If that player finishes, they win, else tile count is the tie breaker.
