spent my day gathering the magic yesterday. got some good games in with my neera, the wild mage deck and that thing is a *hoot.* immediately one of my fave commanders to play

spent ~7 hours playtesting my reworked y’shtola deck yesterday only to realize i don’t think i enjoy her as commander very much. oh well! back to the drawing board

fave games of 2025. top 4 are all damn near tied for #1 but i had to give it to blue prince just for providing me with the most wholly unique gaming experience i had all year

breaking bad and better call saul both have pretty stellar endings, but honestly my favorite finales would have to be twin peaks: the return and mr. robot

Given that apparently the Stranger Things finale was meh (idk, didn't watch it, just the scuttlebutt) and we're not that far removed from the disastrous GOT finale that retroactively made everyone have never cared about the show: What's the *best* ending to a show you've ever seen? Quote/reply etc

2025 playstation wrap up did quite a bit of my gaming on other platforms this year (namely PC and PS2) but this still feels like it represents my gaming habits this year pretty well

probably my most pretentious gaming take is that “games are meant to be fun!” is a deeply anti-art statement. i firmly believe that “the game you had the most fun with is not always the better game” but there’s no way for me to express this sentiment without sounding like an asshole

forgot to post about it but i finished reading between two fires a couple weeks ago and it just confirmed that my taste in books does *not* align with popular consensus. had a handful of chapters i enjoyed but overall that shit was kind of a slog to get through no more reddit reading recs for me 😔

“beat” silksong a few days back and kinda wished i stopped there because holy fuck act 3 is wiping the floor with me. absolutely loved the first 25 hours (bilewater notwithstanding) but now i feel like im just surviving out of spite

A lot of video-game publishers spend hundreds of millions of dollars chasing after "realistic graphics" and "massive open-worlds" when what players really want is just a shitload of weird little guys
