The high temperatures, dry soils, and windy weather fueling terrible wildfires in Europe were made twice as likely in France and 20x as likely in Spain by climate change. Now a once-per-six-year risk for central Spain. www.worldweatherattribution.org/climate-chan...

Electricity prices are getting out of hand 📈 CAP's new plan would freeze or lower rates and save over $900 per household over 4 years. Learn how our plan works: https://www.americanprogress.org/article/fact-sheet-a-plan-for-american-electricity-affordability/

People need immediate relief from rising electricity prices. @americanprogress.bsky.social has 3 policy proposals: 1. A rate relief fund, 2. A national AI data center fair share policy, and 3. A program to build a better, bigger power system Check it out: www.americanprogress.org/article/a-pl...

Offshore wind projects that were set to power over 1.3 million U.S. homes were traded for…zero added energy capacity, actually. 🤦🏽♀️ As Emily says in this article, “Americans’ side of the bargain appears to be worthless”. heatmap.news/energy/total...

The Trump administration's attack on electric vehicles has endangered the U.S. auto industry—failing both American workers and consumers. https://www.americanprogress.org/article/the-trump-administration-failed-the-u-s-auto-industry-and-the-canada-china-deal-proves-it/
Supply shocks are inflationary. The article has examples of the current implications for air travel, freight, semiconductors, aluminum. The longer the war in Iran continues, the more it is likely to increase the price you pay. This profits the fossil fuel industry at everyone else’s expense.
Our new piece breaks down how these price increases for oil and gas will flow through to the U.S. economy, raising the prices of gasoline, electricity, fertilizer, and more. www.americanprogress.org/article/the-...

Roughly 1//3 of the families who would have switched to an EV in the coming decade will instead continue to drive on gasoline because of Trump's disastrous policies. The way we'll experience that: higher prices and worse selection. The best cars just won't be available in America.

By changing the names of public places, censoring historical exhibits, and reducing access to public areas, the Trump administration is erasing the multicultural and multiracial stories of the people who shaped this country. https://ampr.gs/48ILAhV
Here's a great map (if you love maps) of how the charging network has grown. The job is not yet done, but never forget that our country is capable of doing great things.

The Department of Energy HQ is purportedly cancelling all pending #FOIA requests submitted before October 1, 2024, unless the requester emails a specific address w/i 30 days asking the agency to continue processing. This is wildly illegal. public-inspection.federalregister.gov/2025-15490.pdf

Is this abundance? This project was approved under FAST-41, meaning it had expedited permit approvals. It also had labor, domestic supply chain, power offtake agreements for communities attached to it... meaning a whole lot of high quality American jobs and affordable energy just went up in flames.
The Grain Belt Express Transmission Line would increase grid reliability and reduce electricity prices for American families. It’s EXACTLY the kind of project experts say we need to meet increasing demand. Hawley, Trump, and Chris Wright just killed it, with zero justification.
