Thirty West published four chapbooks officially on Friday + wrapped a gauntlet of 5 literary celebrations this on Saturday. Tired, fulfilled, seeking rest. Here’s a small creek + waterfall. Hope it brings you serenity.

I’ll never forget in like 2018 I hosted a reading out of state and an audience member suggested I need more charisma (assumingely in good faith) I’ve gone on to cohost Bring a Blanket and launch books for cool authors for many years. Was it out of spite or a gradual building of my skills? Idk!

Last call for in-person RSVP or Zoom registration! Tomorrow, witness my slideshow about the pursuit of the human & how I see Ai online and irl as a writer & publisher. Plus, books for sale from Thirty West, myself, and my co-collaborators. The venue is beautiful, food, and it’s all free!

Putting this out into the universe: if you’re a publisher that signs an author we have before, please reach out. ARCs, blurbs, PR, combo deals, readings, whatever! Happy to support one of our own elsewhere.

One thing they don’t tell you about book festivals as a vendor is that you slowly morph into a bastion amongst hundreds, or even thousands, of people in a matter of hours and then you’re locked into your curated universe among many other pocket universes and that’s magic baby

1 bad festival is not your fault. 2? There may be something else. If you’re a new vendor to the public, observe the pricing, ask the organizer for tips, and be flexible hourly. Weather and location matters, too. Hate to see you quit before you have enough data to know a problem.

BTS from @collsbookfest TW chapbooks were the star of the show after a quiet summer. So many lovely patrons, vendors, & tons of books. Was good to be next to @stanchion.bsky.social, see old friends, & repeat readers.Thank you to the most literary town in New Jersey and see you next year.

Shannon Frost Greenstein resides in Philadelphia, where she works as a marketer and copywriter and lives with her children and soulmate. She is the author of the books: The Wendigo of Wall Street (Emerge Literary, 2024) An Oral History of One Day in Guyana (Bullshit Lit, 2023) and more books.

Would’ve taken pics of classic Thirty West books that arrived in the mail but all got counted and packed for Collingswood. Hehe. Come out Saturday and find them. Booth 23 near Collings Ave. Lost? Look for the Thirty West road sign. Novel Valley and Chapbook Island await.
