I am old enough to remember that today is the day Trump wanted to impose secondary sanctions on all those who buy Russian oil if Russia does not agree to an unconditional ceasefire in Ukraine.

Putin has committed the Russian state to a global war on democracy. The existence of any nation that has free and fair elections is now seen as a threat to the power and control of any dictator at home.

I agree with this about Putin. He has locked himself into a position that leads to the destruction of Russia. The West is still living in a dream world about a reasonable, realistic Russia that can be negotiated with.

Thanks to Trump, Russia has 50 days to keep hammering Ukrainian civilians with impunity…
