I think GBBO has reached it's enshitification point. The challenges so far this season have sunk to the level of American reality TV. And the Bread Week technical... If everyone fails the technical then the problem is with the test not the bakers.

This is a oft-repeated company line from them for opt-out, for deciding what kind of ads our channels get, etc. Rather than figuring out how to engage their userbase—which I admit is weird because it's freelance streamers AND viewers—they fall back way too easily on, "Because no one would use it!"

Twitch and Amazon are apparently planning to use streams to train Generative AI. Multiple sources tell me it will be announced in the coming months, despite some internal friction against it. Creators may be able to opt out of some training data.

It’s worth noting that Taco Bell identified the source before the FDA did, and promptly pulled it from their stores. The FDA didn’t even name the source until Taylor Farms outed themselves, and hasn’t issued a recall. Basically, Taco Bell is now a more reliable authority than the FDA.
