I guess it is really ironic then that they did get what they were after. But instead of 20 FFGs, DDG(X), SSN(X), and CVNs. They are getting defanged FFs, DDG(X) funding terminated for BBG(X), and Ford getting late-class crisis (everything after Doris Miller is in question now).

These four years, which were meant to be extremely pivotal for laying the foundations of the 2035 fleer, and unfucking the top-heavy structure of the USN, have all been wasted on satiating Trump's childhood fantasies of a giant golden battleship.

Its going to be interesting to see how this pans out given what we saw in the Brazilian Supreme Court. A ton of pre-emptive surrendering type shit in fear of the Bolsonaros winning.

now time for Lula to (nonviolently) settle all family business

These guys have won (in practice). Their guys are in power. Cdrsalamander has been whining about how POC, women and other minorities were the only thing stopping the Navy from greatness since like 2007! And they still all sound like a bunch of whiny losers.

we're getting the gang back together

It is amazing to me that despite the second Trump administration becoming a thing, these guys are still pariahs elsewhere and nobody continues to take them seriously. This Admin will come to an end, and they'll sink even lower into irrelevance.

The only four hour movie I have actually watched. I rewatch it like once a year and it by far the best thing ever made. It doesn't even feel like 4 hours.

Own a Tomahawk for anti-shipping, since that's what Admiral Zumwalt intended. Four Soviets break into my AO. "What the devil?" As I grab my combination cap and RGM-109B TASM. Blow a Dodge D-series sized hole through the first cruiser, he's dead on the spot.

the sound and extra shrapnel set off Duga radars. Load the 16"/50 and charge the last terrified bolshevik. He blows up waiting on the DCP to arrive since sustained 16" shelling is impossible to stitch up. Just as Admiral Zumwalt intended.

Draw my other TASM on the second man, miss him entirely because it's OTH-Targeting and nails the neutral container ship. I have to resort to the TLAM-N mounted at the top of the stairs loaded with canned sunshine, "Tally ho lads" the nuclear blast shreds destroyers in the blast,

"We need to invade Greenland because the Greenlanders might let Russians have a stake in Arctic Infrastructure which is why we are letting the Russians have a large stake in Alaskan gas Infrastructure"

Eric Lipton NYT@ericlipton.nytimes.com

And then the Russian company, presented with the evidence we had gathered, acknowledged in a statement: Yes, we are moving to take a large stake in the Polar LNG project in Alaska. Story was nailed. A bit hard to follow with all the names. But this is confirmation. Had not been previously disclosed.

Every single convo with a Space Twitter people is pretty much like this. Brother, the way things are going? Either ya boi Elon defects to El Salvador or Argentina or else they are gonna make an example out of him bro. And everyday that goes by he makes that decision easier.

Wasp, Hornet, and Saratoga were all lost over the Guadalcanal-Tulagi campaigns. This left Enterprise as the only ready Pacific carrier for a period in late 1942.

I usually have some idea of what I want depicted for a given section of a script as I write it. But some sections require a bit more thinking, I usually sketch these out and then the scene falls into place. Makes the still creation > animation process much smoother.

The zoomers are cooking me in the server over how bad my storyboard sketches are 😭

All of these are from like June/July for the released BMD video. If something doesn't look good it probably won't look any better in Ai so it saves me a lot of time.

Prior to this, I'd try to not think too much of the scenes until it was time to do the big one and spend like 1 hour idling on a random scene.

This is supposed to be depicting the Outer Air Battle. The last hurrah of a Soviet Tu-22 regiment (the sole surviving Backfire).

Two servers actually. But issue is that i come up with a perfect sketch for scene in my head, forget about it, then spend 20 mins trying something that doesn't work. So jotting it down between cooking, reading, watching and doing shit is the best way.

Sauron supposedly forgot to invest in a horizon search radar. Barad-dûr fell victim to Exocet and ingenuity of French designers!

"All seeing eye" my ass, watch this Harpoon raid go through. Was originally working on this and came across this website called Mordor intel covering the sea-skimmer market.
