Masked ICE thugs terrorized Chicago yesterday. They lied to immigrants waiting for their court hearing by summoning them for “surprise check-ins” and then assaulted protesters and elected officials. THIS IS WHAT FASCISM LOOKS LIKE.

Man with long hair, "When will we admit that social media is the root cause of so many societal, economic, mental, and political issues" "And why are we all letting it continue?" #BBCQT

I switched to Linux for my daily driver on jan 1st from mac. I've absolutely loved my Linux journey so far. I will say though, I really miss my mac's battery life. I really do lol

Think im dealing with a @bsky.app SDK bug. Sometimes richtext.detectFacets() appends 2 extra characters behind a hashtag and sometimes it doesnt… its leading to a really annoying facet positioning bug for me.

Anyone know how to render a hyperlink as a word instead of the full URL with the BlueSky TypeScript API? The URL facet is getting detected in my richtext but I cant seem to display the link as a single word instead of the entire URL.

I really wish @bsky.app would improve their golang quick start docs. Not sure why golang is completely missing from the quick start section, while a third party python library is included. Im stuck building a bluesky bot mvp in typescript and pulling my hair out at ts being ts lol.

Cool so what happens if GOP attach a national abortion ban to a CR? You'll vote for that too? 🚮

U.S. Senator John Fetterman@fetterman.senate.gov

My YES vote is *not* an endorsement of this deeply flawed CR. My YES vote is 💯 about refusing to shut our government down. I refuse to punish working families and plunge millions of Americans into chaos.   I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever vote to shut our government down.

In 2010, Aaron Swartz faced 35 years in prison for downloading 70GB of JSTOR articles. He died by suicide in 2013. Meanwhile, Meta illegally downloaded 80+ TERABYTES of books to train AI models with zero consequences. The law doesn't punish corporations—only idealists fighting for open knowledge.

Really hoping GoLang adds forEach(), filter(), reduce() to it's stdlib. After living in functional land for a while now, idk if I want to go back to naked for loops for everything lol

Meet 11-year-old Jocelynn Rojo Carranza, a young girl from Texas whose life was tragically cut short. She died by suicide after classmates threatened to call ICE on her family. Stop dehumanizing immigrants. That is not America.

After using Go for the first time in a few months, after being in Elixir land, I gotta say, I'd really love if Go added utils like .reduce(), .filter(), .sum(), etc.. I think I finally caught the functional bug but imperative for-loops everywhere seems a little crude to me.

It looks like the TS "Advanced API Calls" are is the baseline API for Go. I don't see why @bsky.app shouldn't also provide the same API wrappers for Go? github.com/bluesky-soci...

yeah I think I'm done with the GoLang API for now. It is definitely second class, at least from a client perspective. Just going to use TypeScript or Python for prototyping I guess... Really lame.

idk maybe i'm just having a bad time, but the golang bluesky docs seem to really lack direction. Unless I am missing something obvious, I'm just going to reverse engineer the API from a GoLang Bluesky wrapper. It took me 40 minutes to make an API post.

Am I missing something or are the @bsky.app GoLang docs second class citizens to the TS docs? I don't think GoLang is even included in the "Get Started" section, even though Python is, which isn't even maintained by the Bluesky team.

@bsky.app asking again for you guys to store darkmode in a db. my browser security settings don't let you query my light/darkmode preference. i hate light mode. i also clear my browser cache and storage on browser restart.
