"An embroidered globe made in 19thc US when girls were allowed at last to learn geography. The school couldn’t afford globes so the girls stitched their own, sewing down the boundaries of their New World. The globes were only 5” high" via @ sewingmatters & @ Sirensongs #womensart

Finished up this custom shop set last night, it's on its way to New Zealand now. Customer ordered a ceramic Trident 2 bridge, A5 Valkyrie neck, and wanted bold text on a black background. The pink logo was my idea and really helps set this set off, IMO. #elysianpickups #tunedaperture #fucktrump

Finished up a set for my friends in Cleveland based progressive death metal band Amalgamation. This set features a J/MM hybrid design, using A5 rod magnets, 43awg wire, 18.2k bridge and 17.3k neck. The laser etch is artwork from the band, including their logo. #elysianpickups #tunedaperture

The New York Times used video clips collected by tourists to reconstruct the glacial collapse that caused the horrific flooding in Nepal and Tibet. Have never seen footage of an ice cap in the world's "third pole" shattering and avalanching down. www.nytimes.com/2026/08/28/w...

It seems to me that since hurricanes are so destructive, they should all be named after old, entitled, white men.

Yarn-bombing, thought to have originated in Texas USA, instigated by clothes-shop owner Magda Sayeg and her group Knitta Please, who began the "knit graffiti" movement to brighten up public spaces in a form of street art popular with women particularly #WomensArt

Yes, it's that time again when the Fascism scene returns to London and this year black is very much in vogue. From the new Private Eye, in shops now.

Wrapped up this Trans Flag topped Tele bridge pickup last night. Features A5 poles, 43awg wind, and felt using white in the logo really set things off. Look out for our trans homies, they need us now more than ever. #elysianpickups #tunedaperture #fucktrump #transrights #transrightsarehumanrights

Added a Kiesel optimized 8 string multiscale set to the website today, featuring our Valkyrie wind, A5 bridge, A2 neck, gold hex poles and cream tops. #elysianpickups #tunedaperture #multiscale #kiesel #guitarsky #transrightsarehumanrights elysianpickups.com/product/kies...

Added a new multiscale listing to the website today, for the ESP LTD M-1007MS and M-1008MS models. I made the 7 string version ages ago, and recently a customer who owned the 8 string version helped me adapt my design for the 8. This set has our Trident II/Hellfire Hybrid wind. #elysianpickups

Initially it was assumed that there was an earthquake but that was just the seismic shock created by the glacier collapse itself www.antarcticglaciers.org/2026/08/augu...

Been having 3d printer issues, most likely entirely self-inflicted, so decided to fix them once and for all. My toolchanger setup was using a sort of French clear setup to hold the toolheads when not in use, but this left a lot to be desired. I redesigned this to use bolts, vid in the next post.

Tool changes work perfectly every single time now, the tool cannot fall off, and it will always properly mount to the carriage on the gantry because the bolts offer a positive stop, pushing the toolhead down onto the carrier. This has been a total game changer. Next job is adding a 48v power supply.

Some early reports said that the horrifying flooding in Nepal was the result of an earthquake. However, the signal was actually the recording of the landslide. TL:DR - there was no earthquake, it was a landslide. earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/...

I don't do a ton of sales, but really want to make more Sentinels. Also want to move my in stock pickups, so those are included in the sale as well. Coupon code Sentinel25 on the website 🤘 #elysianpickups #tunedaperture #fucktrump #fuckice #transrights #guitarsky #metalsky #guitar #musician #tone

Created a custom mount for a 5 string set of bass pickups I've been working on, hoping to do a demo for this later tonight. #elysianpickups #tunedaperture #bass #bassguitar #bassplayer #basssky #jazzbass #multiscalebass #multiscale #bassically #lowend #fucktrump #fuckice #transrightsarehumanrights

Finished up this walnut topped set last night, this features the Trident I/II Hybrid wind, black hex poles, ceramic bridge, and A5 neck. Ready for the weekend, I'm playing a show tonight, then seeing a show tomorrow. #elysianpickups #tunedaperture #fucktrump #fuckice #transrightsarehumanrights

What's more fun than black chrome open faced covers? Clear bobbins with black chrome open faced covers! This is a wind I don't even offer anymore, the K2A. This wind is a whopping 27k DC resistance, but pairs that super high wind with an A2 bar magnet, bringing the output down to medium levels.

This combination gives an extreme amount of clarity, perfect for when the gain starts stacking. Check out this super quick demo I put together this morning. Used Fortin Nameless X and NTS for the guitar tone, my Yamaha BB235 bass, and EZ Drummer 3 for the drums. #elysianpickups #tunedaperture

Watch for flying hats!

Did another bass video this morning, this time for my friends in Skull'rz Bane 🤘

#ICYMI, posted a new video last night

Decided to record me practicing one of my bands more difficult songs on my 1993 Ibanez SR885, check it out 🤘 details on my setup are in the description. #elysianpickups #tunedaperture #bass #bassguitar #bassdemo #bandpractice #bassist #basstone #deathmetal #fucktrump #fuckice #transrights

Just posted my first long form YouTube video, check it out 😁️ Comes in at just over 25 minutes, all the music is music I wrote and recorded, and hopefully this is the start of something pretty cool. I've got lots of projects coming up, so of course like and subscribe. www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJjL...

Also, I'm on YouTube now! Right now it's just this video, but I intend on making longer form videos as well, which will go up on YouTube only. I've got lots of things planned, let's see if I can do them 🤣

Want to see how my fully custom bobbins are made? This is a time lapse video I made this morning, making a 7 string T style set. Printer is a Voron 2.4 350, parts printed in ASA, support interface material is PETG. Music is one of my songs, recorded during COVID. #elysianpickups #tunedaperture

Finished up a cool purple and red set for a friend this morning. Set features our Valkyrie wind, purple A5 bridge and red A2 neck, with black hex poles. #elysianpickups #tunedaperture #fucktrump #fuckice #transrightsarehumanrights

1/ Right on cue, Covid-19 is starting to stir. Every summer, we see a bump in cases around mid-July, and this year appears to be following the same pattern. Levels of spread and infection are still very low, but they’re beginning to climb.

1/ The cyclosporiasis foodborne outbreak continues to grow, and there’s A LOT of conflicting information out there. So the YLE team compiled answers to some of the top questions we’re seeing to bring the nuance you may be looking for.

By the way, added an In Stock section to my website, check it out. There's some stuff I'll be posting about tomorrow on there: elysianpickups.com/product-cate... There are currently 8 listings, and more coming throughout the week, I've got several things yet to list #elysianpickups #tunedaperture

Couple of things I finished up first thing this morning. The white pickup is an Ibanez RGDMS8 fitment TII/Hellfire Hybrid bridge, ceramic bar magnets, gold hex, and a black filled logo. The 6 string pickup is a ceramic Trident II with nickel hex poles. #elysianpickups #tunedaperture #transrights

Walking in our farm's rainforest with the melting heat of these days, I am filled with such inexpressible anger at what is being done to our once stable climate. The richest 1% are actively, knowingly, and uncaringly sabotaging the future for all of us, and for the rest of the planet's life.

For the morning crowd, ICYMI

The next controversy 😆 Been wanting to do a meme pickup for a bit, this was the first one that came to mind, so made it happen. This pickup is a ceramic Javelin, little fire breather. Other set is a Trident II/Hellfire Hybrid, ceramic bridge and A5 neck. #elysianpickups #tunedaperture #fucktrump

Got a pretty classy Schecter Reaper 7MS bridge pickup fresh off the bench this morning. This has our Trident II wind, gold hex poles, and a ceramic bar magnet. Walter is such a Texas dog. During the recent heat wave here in Ohio he was still outside lounging on the deck. He loves warm weather.

Happy hump day, only two more sleeps till the weekend! Got a raw nickel set for your eyes today, this one featuring our Valkyrie wind, nickel flathead poles, and A5 bridge & A2 neck magnets. Walter is on IR right now with a bum hind paw, poor boy might be getting arthritis 🥺 #dogs #elysianpickups

In other "excellent news from religious bodies", the US Presbyterian General Assembly has formally voted to start the process to (correctly) declare white Christian nationalism a theological error incompatible with the teachings of Jesus: pres-outlook.org/2026/07/pcus...

"The number of animals farmed worldwide has increased by ½ in the last 2 decades. The rising demand for meat comes at a time when agricultural land is becoming less fertile. ~90% of water withdrawn from natural systems for irrigation is used to grow animal feed." Trends going ↑ instead of ↓ =😳

Did you know? Renewables have just overtaken coal as the world's largest source of electricity 34% – global renewable share, up 2x in 20yrs 48% – EU 37% – China 26% – US 24% – India

A bunch of stuff finished up the last few days. The standout here is the white set. Set features a Sentinel 7 string bridge, A5 rails, Valkyrie neck with A5 bar magnet and nickel hex poles, and matte white tops. #elysianpickups #tunedaperture #fucktrump #abolishmaga #transrightsarehumanrights

Y'all aren't going to want to miss the custom shop sets I have coming up, it's gonna be awesome. Should have something on the 4th, and then just took an order for a really cool set that should be later this month. #ElysianPickups #vagueposting #TunedAperture #fucktrump #abolishMAGA #begaydocrime

Been real busy all weekend and today, knocking out orders and getting the queue back on track. The polka dot set was a lot more difficult than I expected to make, the dots all had to be hand fitted. #elysianpickups #tunedaperture #fucktrump #fuckice #transrightsarehumanrights
