Bloke in Somerset. At 63 l have learned a better knot for tying shoe laces. I love sailing, I keep bees, I worry about the times ahead.

Who would ever have thought that the BBC’s political editor would put out a single source claim that was both false and also great propaganda for Reform…

Part of the weird celebrity worship culture that we have that every other post here is about a dead singer as if it's an event of some importance or affects us in some way when really it doesn't, and I never took any interest in that kind of American sequined Country Music, so yeah, sad, but hey.

Yep, the Home Office doesn't understand or know the law. How are the rest of us are supposed to follow it ?

Recently issued Home Office guidance that states permission is needed to photograph people in public is incorrect and harmful. There is no legal requirement to seek permission when photographing in public. The BPPA hopes an immediate correction will be issued.

Home Office giving out false information about uk law. You CAN take photos of people where they have no particular expectation of privacy. You can't peep over garden hedges or spy into private places with a drone, or break copyright filming a performance, but people in public - go right ahead.

And my prediction so far is accurate. Now just wait .

My prediction is that he will see which way the vote-count is going and leave so as not to have to appear on the town hall stage with the returning officer and hear bin-face's speech. He will be pilloried by the press and he will be finished.

I don't understand why anyone should need to help keep the Straight of Hormuz open when only three days ago Hegseth said “It's something we're dealing with, we have been dealing with it, and you don't need to worry about it,”

How dare her!! 🧐🤨 "When people like Kamala Harris send our sons and daughters, our young people, to fight in stupid wars, it is the young generation that carries the burden of that. We're gonna stop sending our young people to far away lands. We are not the policemen of the world."

So actually no 'combat' and actually no immediate threat, just air strikes. Probably plenty of civilian dead, no American casualties, all for no particular purpose. Wtf.
