My team develops #Zeek network analyzers (github.com/cisagov/icsnpp) for #OT protocols. If you know this area, you know one of the hardest things is getting sample data. If you have traffic available for any of the more niche protocols on that list & are willing to share #PCAP, please reach out.

Heads up: Zeek’s next in-person training will be at the NSF Cybersecurity Summit in Boulder, CO this October. More details are coming soon. Are you planning to go? Or did you attend last year? We’d love to hear your highlights. #Zeek #Cybersecurity #NSFSummit #OpenSourceSecurity

"Chicago Pope" is like a 1994 SNL sketch. Airs at 12:20am, the only gag is that Chris Farley has a mustache and is doing a big accent. David Spade and the guest host (Joe Mantegna) keep breaking during it.

Finally merged the massive feature I've been working on for @zeek.org. The new storage framework is live. One step closer to splitting up our old Broker component. I have some follow-up bits to do, but the initial work is done.

The GIJoe compendium collection of the comics from the 90s. My brother and I read them religiously. I got one for him and one for me from the Kickstarter in July. Probably my favorite gift I gave this year. I was worried wasn't going to make it, but it arrived with two days to spare. #comics

I have a large collection of letters written by my grandfather to his family after he survived Pearl Harbor. What is the best way to preserve this history? They're in good condition, but not on acid-free paper. We're worried about losing them eventually. Pointers? #librarysky #historysky

Spent some time today rearranging the commits on the Zeek storage framework branch to make more sense. Inching ever closer to a PR for this thing. Probably a bit after the new year.

Well shit, it broke a couple of tests on other non-Windows platforms. Guess I need to separate the Windows handling out somehow.

I just made a minor change to one of our support scripts for testing and went from 657 failing tests on Windows to 386 failing tests. Stupid path formatting.

Today marks a month on from my Nuss procedure. Other than one really bad pain day that landed me in the ER and one that we managed at home, it's been pretty smooth. Looking forward to having my 10-lb weight restriction lifted in a couple weeks. Hopefully the bars are stable at that point too.

There were farms of hard disk drives dedicated to promulgating this image onto the Internet. These were known as the butthole servers.

These folks did a great job of breaking, well, *all* the leading LLMs by asking the models an incredibly simple question. These models should not be relied upon to assist anyone with reasoning. Check out the appendix with examples of truly wild confabulations and errors arxiv.org/html/2406.02...
