Fakemon based on conflict, symbiosis, and aardvarks. A vengeful spirit attaches itself to the body of Whispeous, so the pokemon is constantly at war with itself. When both souls work together, Whispeous evolves into Trumphiant upon defeating 100 ghost-type pokemon. #pokemon #fakemon #alkerregion

Fakemon line based on classic ghosts and jumpscares. While Jhaunt is more of a lighthearted prankster, Perishriek is an ambush terror. These pokemon feed off of fear when they frighten others. #pokemon #fakemon #AlkerRegion

Fakemon line based on silkie chickens and the mythical basilisk/cockatrice. Silchick evolves into Foulsilisk in the presence of a dragon-type in the party, as a nod to the cockatrice being born from a chicken's egg hatched by a serpent. #AlkerRegion #fakemon #pokemon

Drawings based on specimens I collected during my costa rica trip! Featuring Ropalomeridae, Richardiidae, and Tabanidae #flyschool2026 #art #entomology

Every group that stays this research center makes a painting to commemorate so of course I was put in charge to paint it. Really happy with the colors on this one. Its a periscelid dancing on top of a pantophthalmid, our two star flies found during the course! #flyschool2026 #diptera #art

Love this from #FlySchool2026 student @toldentops.bsky.social! 🥰 #Lauxaniidae is one of the most diverse acalyptrate #fly families. Larvae are associated w/leaf litter, thus super abundant/diverse in forests. They are HIGHLY variable so every time a student finds one they think it's a new family 😂

Oooh, is that a new acalyptrate? NOPE. LAUXANIID. Thanks to @toldentops.bsky.social for sharing this #FlySchool meme with all of #TeamDiptera! 🪰✨
