Everyone's complaining but the Ballon d'Or is absolutely incredible. Kate Abdo absolutely knowing how much this show sucks is modern art

Victory for Lula, who has already reduced Amazon deforestation by 70% since 2022, means there is now a chance of ending deforestation of the rainforest entirely I’m weeping with joy for Brazil, for the Indigenous peoples of the Amazon, and for life on Earth 🇧🇷🌳🌎 www.theguardian.com/world/2026/o...

We got Kubo and the Two Strings because Nike guy bought an animation studio and put his zero-experience son in charge. And I'm cool with that

Loved talking to Jake and found his discoveries fascinating. Hope you do too

The Jude doubters been real quiet recently. Jake Entwistle's been using the silence to quantify what makes Bellingham so unbelievably brilliant, so we might use that knowledge to find others with similar gamebreaking qualities. The Conversation, w/ @tomoc.bsky.social:

At the end of last season it was legitimate to worry that Noni Madueke was a good stats, bad player type. Here was a healthy sign that good stats very often come from good footballing actions.

Thanks so much for the amazing response to Cata's debut! For those who aren't aware - we've not done a great job introducing ourselves on Bluesky - SCOUTED is an indie and reader-funded magazine on the players, people and ideas changing football's future.

The story of Cavan Sullivan is a story about American soccer idols, and by extension, a story about American soccer itself, both the good and the bad. 20 years after Freddy Adu, American soccer has its prodigy. For @scoutedftbl.com, the tales we weave about Cavan and all that came before (🎁 link):

Can't believe I forgot the most important Arsenal birthday yesterday: The Arsenal FC. 140 years ago yesterday the members of the Dial Square Cricket Club discussed and agreed to form a football team.

Magnificent from @catabush.com. This feels like the definitive story for non-Americans to understand how seismic Cavan is; a must-read

Two decades after Freddy Adu, America finally has the superstar it craves: Cavan Sullivan. But to understand what he means to the country, writes @catabush.com, you must understand all that's come before - and the crushing weight of being an American icon.

looking back at the decades we spent living in City's world and realising: yes, that funny feeling was real; yes, the strange unease you felt when you realised the club reporting colossal commercial revenues had no cultural presence anywhere was real; you weren't crazy, it was always all fake

something incredibly modern, something I can't quite put my finger on / find the words for, about living with the knowledge you know a huge corporation is lying to you, blatantly, but life just goes on, it's all normal, we all want peace in suburbia
