I'm not a military guy, but for those that are career service members, when do they start asking themselves what "all enemies, foreign and domestic" really means? When does this soul searching for a definition begin? It's never too early.

I’d love to know who this fiery, patriotic young woman is, so I could follow her social media or Substack. This is EXACTLY how the fuck we should all be feeling about the corrupt, criminal regime that’s infested the White House. This shit has to end. And people like this woman will lead the way.

The worth of the human race is what we contribute creatively. It doesn't matter if it's raising children, cooking a meal, writing a paragraph, or riding a bike. We all do something unique every day. That creative force, no matter how small, is our humanity. AI strips that from us, strips our worth.

How many universally 'good' people are left in this world? Ones with a kind heart for everyone, selfless, and adored almost unanimously? I'm trying to picture one, but I can't.

Parenting is hard. It's hard. It never gets easier. The one rule that solves every question in parenting is, "is this the best choice for my child"? As long as this is answered honestly, you win. And to the parents in the movie theater today bringing your 4-year old to spider-man: you failed.

We shouldn't keep blaming one or two members of congress, when dozens of them are equally at fault. We should expect not just the very qualified, but the most qualified. Voting for those completely unqualified for their job is disqualifying in itself. This is a death spiral for democracy.

At this point, why doesn't the governor of KY just announce that he will assume Mitch died, unless proof is submitted he's alive, to get on with the replacement process?

There is an indisputable fact that few people live by a true moral code. They don't act based on what they believe (because deep down the moral code doesn't exist); they act based on how their feel, then justify it later. People are always justifying their behavior, not apologizing for it.

Every employee is slowly being put into two categories: unique and standard. Standard employees are replaced with similar employees with little difference. These will be automated or eliminated because of technology. The uniques are hired because of their specific skills/traits and are irreplaceable

The issues with Trump will forever change the expectations of president. If we're not willing to remove him when he's cuckoo for cocoa puffs, then someone half as mad will look normal by comparison, but still far from the expectations of decency we should hold a president to.

Someone should have a private conversation with Fetterman and remind him what party he is. And if he doesn't understand, tell him to resign.

You know what a parent is? A parent is someone who constantly turns off lights left on by their freeloading children. That's almost half my time at home, turning off lights, because I work to pay the energy bill, not my kids.

I think when most people are for wars to get rid of despots, they don't consider the civilians. Millions of Iranians are just trying to survive despite their government, yet their lives are upended by the US. Just like Venezuela. And the rest of the US. And Lebanon. And Iraq. Etc.

There's a good argument to be asked about the definition of 'war'. But I think when your submarine torpedoes your enemies warship and sinks it, that pretty much sums up all argument.

I think Trump thinks the word 'Peace' means 'Bestest Ever'. He clearly doesn't understand the actual definition. He thinks the Noble Peace prize means bestest person ever. And his board of peace is the bestest ever countries joining so they can praise Trump. Like a secret club of 7-year olds.

In an ever-increasing influx of opinions (this one included), it reminds me of the two types of people: those who are trying to please all sides at once, and those who take up a position knowing the outcome. No one ever said, "I wish I took up more middle-ground unoffending positions". Pick a side.

And furthermore, pick our side intentionally, based on your morals. Hold your position, take the incoming flak, and be stronger for it. In a world of rich vs. poor and good vs. evil, know where you always stand.

Let's be honest, the best of the humans: Mr. Rogers, Keanu Reeves, Ms. Rachel, etc. aren't better than the average dog. Their kindness and unconditional love prove that this planet only deserves to survive for the four-legged among us. We humans, as a species, only deserve to be caretakers for them.

It's clear that Trump, the GOP, and millions of people never learned the golden rule, the rule that summarizes all the world's religions. "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you". We could use a bit more humanity now.

Mark Gronowski is #100 in all of Division 1 for pass completions. It's easy to keep getting beat when your opponent knows you can't throw the ball. Can Iowa please recruit someone who can throw the ball, like all of their opponents? Or at least put another RB in at QB?

When a practice field goal attempt falls comically short, give it another go, right? What's the worst that can happen? If Iowa wants to pay me a half million bucks to make better decisions than #Ferentz, my phone is waiting. The best time for him to retire was ten years ago. The next best is now.

Does Hegseth think that grooming and weight standards will improve the performance of three and four star generals and admirals? Here I thought they were chosen for their leadership, organization and strategy. I guess they are chosen by who can best run towards (or away) from the enemy.

We're approaching an intellectual crisis. The best mathematicians, scientists, artists and explorers were successful and are remembered for their contributions advancing ideas. Now you can't speak your mind, travel across lands, practice your religion, read any books, without someone threatening you.

People who intentionally involve themselves with unlike-minded people, tend to have open minds, and have an appreciation that grows for the differences that makes humankind so important. Those close-minded, often only gather with like-minded, and think everyone unlike them is the problem.

As a friend once told me (paraphrased), "The purpose of a having a business is to employ people and do what you want. The bonus is the profit, not the point". People forget that profit has only been a corporate mandate since 1970 or later. Businesses should be shamed for any profits from cut jobs.

I think a good indicating trait of a kind, reasonable, creative person is the ability to listen. To look with care at the person speaking, to listen, to consider their words, and respond with a measured statement. Those unwilling to listen already have prepared their verdict regardless of your words

DT is the type of person who, despite the overwhelming evidence and belief that he is not entering the pearly gates, will pay an evangelical preacher to tell him he will. He will convince himself of this singular belief and hold onto it until his last breath, giving himself comfort.

I have to publicly admit I have now seen #F1themovie in the theaters three times, twice in IMAX. I've only seen one or two movies twice in the theaters. It's not perfect, but it's an incredible big screen show that needs the sound. I don't think Joseph Kosinski is getting the recog he deserves.

The number one cause of crime is poverty. It has always been the case across millennia and the world. Research backs this up again and again. I want to eliminate crime as well. Best way to do that is to eliminate poverty. Otherwise you're just temporarily removing the symptoms, not the cause.

I've long believed that setting personal moral lines is a rare thing among humans, especially lately. It's an important distinction to set in oneself. And since almost everyone operates under, "do what you want, justify it later" attitude, this is the government we now have. It's your own fault.

Citizens United was decided on the simple fact that 💲= free speech. If universities, states, museums, etc. are changing their policies because they are afraid of losing their funding, then money does not equal free speech, but the control of speech. Can some attorney please get on this?

All these 'trade deals' is just Trump promising you (and people of the other countries) will pay more for stuff than you did a year ago. Look up tariffs yourself. Most have been - for decades - less than 5%. Now everything is 15%+. Everyone loses when tariffs are artificially increased.

My #epstein prediction is that the "list" will be released in a few weeks or months. It'll either be heavily redacted or modified in a way it can't be trusted. Trump's name won't be found once. And after this regime is over, we'll get agents talking about how #Trump was redacted all over the list.

Yesterday’s announcement of the official call to action begins now. It is just after 6 am in California. We wait to see how many farmworkers join the #StrikeForDignity They asked for just three days, “They will not fire you”. They can say this bc they know no one can do what they do.

Nothing is more American than Mexican and Chinese restaurants. Built from a system of immigrants needing to feed themselves. I'm done with celebrating traditional Americana. Give me the arts and culture of our immigrants any day. That's the backbone of the real modern American culture.

Tapping the sign, once again.

If the people we elect only care about their billionaire donors and don't care about the actual harm that will come from their actions, why do we need them? What's the point? If we can't reform it, we need to end the American experiment. I guess 250 years is an expiration date. #revolution

Is there anything stopping Congress from writing bills funding the wish lists of red state Congress members and obliterating the expenditures from blue states? If they can buy enough votes from enough states, right? Because another state isn't their concern, right? Not their constituents.

I'm proud of the opportunities this country has provided to "poor, huddled masses" the last couple hundred years when they didn't have any other. This year for the 4th, my family will not be waving American flags or eating "American" food. We will be celebrating history and the culture of my wife.

If you believe in your right to own a nuclear weapon (for defense), you have to believe in the right for others to do the same. You need to apply logic and morals evenly. When you start making excuses and loopholes, that's when you can justify anything, even genocide, war and poverty.
