Things Democratic Senators could do that would be useful: - Withdraw unanimous consent from all Senate business until constitutional rule was restored - Refuse to vote for any legislation until constitutional rule was restored - Boycott as a caucus until constitutional rule was restored

Gosh. If only there were an historical analogue we could study to learn about the horrors of rounding people up without due process and sending them to torture camps in other countries.

We should all be terrified to live in an America where legal residents can be detained, held at gunpoint, or deported because of the color of their skin or because the President disagrees with their views.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said he will continue to revoke visas for “people that are supportive of movements that run counter to the foreign policy of the United States.” This is new. And it doesn’t feel like freedom

Writing an op-ed is not illegal activity. They are revoking visas for thought crimes and for constitutionally protected expression.

State Department spox Tammy Bruce just blatantly lies and says that students are getting visas revoked for "illegal activity" (Rumeysa Ozturk was not charged with a crime)

Government abductions are unconstitutional. Denying anyone the right to due process in America is unconstitutional. If you’ve rationalized your silence or support for any of it because it’s happening to those you disagree with, give it a minute… They’ll get to you soon enough.

Hey Ohio Miss Sherrod Brown yet? Hey Montana Miss Jon Tester yet? They would have STOPPED Elon Musk and DOGE's destruction of our government Our government serves us not just the wealthy It's a Nation of, for, and by the people Not A Nation of, for, and by the Oligarchs #DemCast #DemVoice1

To be clear, because apparently I’m popping on the Twitter machine I’m still locked out: YES, I think it would be easier for Dems to win elections if everyone who is eligible to vote was also allowed to vote. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk, Charlie Kirk. Ask your pal Gavin if I stuttered.

Pay attention to this: Musk is trying to make our air traffic control system "dependent” on him by integrating his equipment, which has not gone through security and risk-management review. It's corruption. And it's dangerous. Fire Elon Musk. www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...

“Those nasty Canadians are ripping us off and are controlled by Mexican cartels. They’re poisoning us with fentanyl and need to become the 51st state or they will pay a high price” is a belief that literally ZERO Americans had six weeks ago. It’s entirely invented from scratch.

I searched this and just wow, there are tons of stories of Rogers' heroism & service but now the official DoD site not only says "not found" but the text is "deimedal" | see Congressional Medal of Honor list www.cmohs.org/recipients/c...

Brandon Friedman@brandonfriedman.bsky.social

This is blood-boiling. Charles Rogers was awarded the Medal of Honor in Vietnam after being wounded three times leading the defense of a position. Google his name and the entry below comes up. When you click, you'll see the page has been deleted and the URL changed to include "DEI medal."

It’s unreal - the DOD deleted its page for Charles Calvin Rodgers, a Medal of Honor recipient who was wounded three times while defending against three assaults on his base in Vietnam. Now the URL includes “DEI Medal of Honor.” There’s something about Rodgers I don’t even have to tell you

I’m not just talking about Trump. TV channels should do real-time fact-checking for all major political speeches. They should’ve done it for Biden, who sometimes said things that weren’t true. But of course, Biden’s level of disinformation was a drizzle. Trump’s is a Cat 5 hurricane. 5/6 🧵

Real-time fact-checking is the only effective fact-checking. Doing it 2 hours later or simultaneously on a separate platform such as a blog is COMPLETELY INEFFECTIVE. Journalists are supposed to be in the truth business. They must try to disarm lies, not just pretend they’re fighting back. 4/6 🧵

Medicaid and CHIP help many of Jack Bergman's rural northern Michigan and UP constituents stay healthy. It's too bad he abandoned them to give trillions in tax cuts to billionaires that don't even live in MI01.
