I plan to use this gif every time I read something showing how Trump voters will be disenfranchised by THEIR choice.

The next time someone tells you that America isn’t a sick & racist country, just remind them that this nation is willing to accept treason, rape, and child abuse from a white president but not healthcare from a Black one.

@schumer.senate.gov and Democrats, hello? You let them sucker you!! You held out for 40 days and got nothing! Now you will be blamed for the suffering. You could have caved 40 days ago.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Q: Will you assure House Democrats they'll get a vote on ACA subsidies by a date certain? MIKE JOHNSON: Ah -- no. I'm not promising anyone anything.

When you give Russia an inch......well we all know what happens next.

If government positions are to be based on merit, how many forensic accountants has DOGE hired? They have the skill set to find fraud and waste. #theaccountant

It was never about cutting costs. It was about gaining control. There is no reason for people without security clearance to be able to access US Treasury data.

The Conversation U.S.@us.theconversation.com

Reports suggest #DOGE staff are bypassing #cybersecurity best practices, installing unsecured email servers, and accessing sensitive systems without proper vetting. A security expert explains the implications:

This is where we are in 2025, people. All because an educated and highly qualified Black man became President of the United States! This is when white men lost their sh$t and decided they wanted this country back under their control.

All of the so-called "patriots" who are cheering the felon's dismantling of DEI is indicative as to why it was needed in the first place. That's right. There are people among us who never wanted women, the disabled, or people of color to have equal opportunities. True story☕️

How many people are working in a career that is different from what you studied in college? I'm seeing a lot of non POC individuals who have positions that (require a degree) they didn't study in college.

An EO blaming your predecessors and DEI for a plane/helicopter crash. 🙄 I need Obama and Biden to sue Trump for defamation if the air traffic controller and all of the pilots involved in the crash were white straight men.

Merit was never a consideration for white men in the workplace. Look at Trump's cabinet picks. How many of them actually have experience and are qualified for the jobs they are being appointed to?

Revoking an executive order from 1965? Well I guess we know when Trump thought America was great.

Chris Geidner@chrisgeidner.bsky.social

BREAKING: In a new executive order sent out by the White House, Donald Trump has revoked the federal contractor nondiscrimination executive order, EO 11246, that was signed by Lyndon Johnson in 1965 and has protected employees of businesses seeking federal contracts from discrimination ever since.

People who voted for Kamala will be collateral damage in this travesty. Everyone will suffer. Some more than others.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Everything that Trump said and did today -- all of it -- was entirely predictable based on his campaign, character, and first term in office. If you're surprised, you were either misinformed or not informed enough. We deserve everything that's about to come our way. Buckle up.

If we've learned one thing regarding the many people in a position to hold Donald Trump accountable for his crimes, it's that a "good person" does not necessarily correlate with a courageous person.

I never appreciated the little elastic insert in my leather boots until now. I'm happy that I can still wear these boots!😅 #menopause #menopauseweightgain

Jimmy Carter probably outlived a lot of people who thought he would die before them. He went into hospice care before his wife and she died first. I'm happy he died before Trump took office. He will get the respectful service he deserves. RIP Jimmy Carter!

Mondale passed away in 2021, but that doesn't mean he won't eulogize his former partner. He left behind a eulogy for Jimmy Carter to be read by his son at next week's service. We have what he wrote. www.nytimes.com/2024/12/30/u...

The door person at my kid's bldg says "I'm sorry but the elevators are out of service". I said but they live on the 17th floor!!!!!!!!!!! I climb those steps. My fucking Apple Watch says congratulations on climbing 10 flights of stairs! I screamed "bitch I just climbed 17 fucking flights not 10!"

I'm thankful for my amazing family and my wonderful friends. I am also thankful that I STILL have the right as a Black woman to take a break and let others do the heavy lifting.

Black women always think about the "greater good." "Harris’ loss spurred a wave of Black women across social media resolving to prioritize themselves, before giving so much to a country that over and over has shown its indifference to their concerns." apnews.com/article/trum...

apnews.comFeeling betrayed by increased minority support for Trump, Black women say they’re stepping backDonald Trump's victory has dismayed many politically engaged Black women, and they're reassessing their enthusiasm for politics and organizing.

Do you know how much CEO pay has skyrocketed since 1978? 100%? 500%? Try 1,085% Meanwhile, the $7.25/hr fed. minimum wage hasn't budged in 15 years and the tipped min. wage has been $2.13/hr since 1991. This is what I mean when I say the system is rigged.

Eight years. Zero scandals. Zero investigations. Zero impeachment hearings. Zero indictments. Zero charges. Zero drama. Just class and grace personified. Let's let them know how much we miss this wonderful family. 💙

The best post of the day!!

The same people who’ve spent the last several years decrying “unqualified DEI hires” are now shoehorning through Cabinet nominations who can’t even pass a basic background test.

My family and I plan to prepare & donate 60 bag lunches to Matthew House in Bronzeville to feed the homeless. If I have ever fed you, please consider donating your time or your money to this cause. We will deliver the lunches on Tuesday, November 26th. Please DM me if you are interested in helping.

You are up to date.
