Congresswoman Lori Trahan

Since Donald Trump took office, his administration has made it harder for folks to keep the health insurance they need to keep themselves and their families healthy.

Fresenius provides lifesaving home dialysis services to patients across the Commonwealth while advancing clinical innovation and transforming care for those who need it most.

Last week, I had the opportunity to tour their facility in Lawrence and learn more about their work. They’re just one example of the medical innovation happening here in Massachusetts focused on unlocking new treatments and cures that will make all the difference for patients.

This investment is a game changer for NECC! Thanks to @massgovernor.bsky.social’s investment in high-demand industries, students can train for careers in healthcare and build their futures while giving back to their community.

From nurse training to pharmacy technician certification, these programs will help students gain the hands-on experience they need to get to work and grow in the healthcare field.

RFK Community Alliance has cared for kids in Lancaster for over 100 years. Today I toured the Doctor Franklin Perkins School and Hope House to see that work up close.

Their team serves children, youth, and adults facing educational, developmental, and mental health challenges. They’re Lancaster’s largest employer. Most of their workforce lives right here in our district.

It was great to be back in Hudson today meeting and hearing from residents in Machado House!

Our families are feeling the squeeze of rising prices, and that’s just as true for seniors, many of whom are on a fixed income.

Community hospitals care for our neighbors and make all the difference in moments of crisis.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of cutting the ribbon on the new Cath Lab at Lawrence General Hospital. If someone is having a heart attack, a Cath Lab can help doctors quickly identify blocked arteries and restore blood flow to the heart.

Today, the NSA warned organizations to patch two critical security flaws in PHP or take their systems offline. PHP is the software behind roughly 7 in 10 websites, from small business storefronts to town, school and government portals.

We should start now with the FRONTIER Act, which would place serious, durable guardrails on the most powerful AI systems. We should pair it with a liability regime like my CLAIM Act that compels companies to prioritize safety and gives those who are harmed a path to recourse.

Attackers began exploiting these flaws before the fix was released, and what’s even more concerning is that many sites run versions too old to receive the update at all.

Thanks to Republicans’ One Big Ugly Bill, Massachusetts families are facing a second consecutive year of double-digit health insurance premium increases.

Next week, women in Greater Lowell will have a safe place when they feel unsafe. Yesterday I joined Community Teamwork and local leaders to cut the ribbon on their new women’s shelter. It has 46 beds, and up to 56 in the winter.

Long before Congress, I was a Lowell kid with a summer job at the Lowell Plan and the LDFC. I watched bankers, business owners, city leaders and neighbors sit around one table and decide downtown Lowell was worth saving. This morning, we celebrated 50 years of that partnership.

When no single bank would take the risk on downtown, they took it together. Buildings that sat dark got their lights back. Boarded-up storefronts got family businesses behind the counter again.

Small businesses keep our main streets running and our communities together. But this administration is making it harder for them to get ahead.

I’m grateful to the Greater Boston Chamber for inviting me to last week’s government affairs forum.

Today, our Lowell office was one of many congressional and election offices across the country that received a suspicious letter containing a potential threat. I’m grateful to the Lowell Fire Department, Lowell Police Department and FBI.

I won't pretend this is normal. It's deeply disappointing that threats like this have become part of our politics. The people who run our offices and our elections are public servants. They deserve to do their jobs without fear. Disagreement is healthy. Intimidation is not.

Americans are paying for a war they never signed up for. Donald Trump’s war in Iran is driving up the cost of gas, groceries and utilities, with families in #MA3 paying more than $6,000 extra just to make ends meet.

Yesterday morning, Billerica High students stood on a field before sunrise while police swept their school for a bomb. Yesterday afternoon in Bend, Oregon, a teenager with a gun killed three children and a teacher at an elementary school.

Earlier this week, Illinois police arrested a man they say was plotting a mass shooting at a Hindu temple.

It was great to join the North Central Chamber Congressional Luncheon alongside my friend and colleague @repmcgovern.bsky.social!
