Getting some good questions! Keep 'em coming. The weirder the better 👁️
Somehow we're just a little over a month away from the one year anniversary of Detective Instinct's release, and I'm thinking about making a Q/A type video to mark the occasion. Send us a question with this form if there's anything you'd like to know! docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...

Really loved Detective Instinct. Got me into ADVs again, and rekindled my appreciation for the Nintendo DS. It’s nostalgic in the best way, as it’s not directly emulating any one thing, but is instead presenting the feeling that came with playing its inspirations for the first time
Yes, we are, in fact, 30% for the Steam Autumn Sale. But did you know we also have bundles available with 3 other recent ADVs/VNs? Even if you've already played our game, you should check our bundle list, might be able to get a better deal on some new games 👁️ store.steampowered.com/bundlelist/2...

A few of us from the Detective Instinct team, among many other friends, made a game for GBJAM this year! Definitely one of the more bizarre and ambitious things we've done for this jam over the years: gallowaygames.itch.io/don-bruto-an...

This is as good a time as any to recommend you disenfranchised peeps check out Detective Instinct. It plays good, sounds great and is made with love! #blutoid
A Portopia remake with a similar "something old, something new" approach as last year's Okhotsk remake and by the same development team. Looks awesome. The Steam page is translated, but it doesn't appear to support any languages other than Japanese 😔
G-MODE announces NEXT: THE PORTOPIA SERIAL MURDER CASE An all-new entry in the cult classic detective game series by Horii Yuuji (Dragon Quest, Chrono Trigger) featuring five investigation files JP only. Earlier, this team remade The Hokkaido Serial Murder Case

Dude! A Portopia remake was announced in the Japanese Direct! youtu.be/IF2PBtDtBmk?...
Finally had some time to make another music analysis video. This one was fun for me, as Ema - particularly in Apollo Justice - is one of my favorite Ace Attorney characters.
Made a new video analyzing the two different versions of Ema Skye's theme in Rise From The Ashes and Apollo Justice, and how each one fits the two very different versions of the character: www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_hb...
Still so cool to me how Emio was an unapologetically classic FDC-style command-select adventure. It's one thing for freak indie devs like us to do it, but for Nintendo to release a brand new game like that with no compromises really surprised me. They should do it again!
Today is the 2nd anniversary of Emio: The Smiling Man and Nintendo actually posted an illustration to celebrate the occasion on the Nintendo Today app. Still can't believe that we actually got a new installment in the Famicom Detective Club series. Even more unbelievable that it turned out so good.

Thinking about RPG battle themes, as I often do. Has there ever been a 30ish second loop more absolutely perfect and endlessly listenable than this? www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lNQ...
I've been slowly making my way through of the Devil lately, and it's really great. Very unique take on Ace Attorney-ish gameplay with really confident aesthetics and storytelling. Definitely check it out!
of the Devil is a part of Steam's CYBERPUNK fest! Also merch news! Is coming Soon™!!! But a much Sooner™ Soon™ than it's ever been before!
Have YOU been meaning to check out Detective Instinct? Today's the last full day of our 30% off sale on Steam 🚂 - Dramatic story with a mystery on a train - DS-era aesthetics - Classic command-select adventure gameplay Give it a look 👀 store.steampowered.com/app/2689930/...
Nice review of a really lovely game. Should go without saying coming from us, but the world could use more "linear" narrative-focused adventure games. And if you like Hotel Dusk, don't forget to play Last Window, too!
Sure, Hotel Dusk: Room 215 is linear, but is that a negative? This wonderfully written graphic adventure from designer and writer Rika Suzuki shined on the DS nearly two decades ago, and remains as gripping of "a mystery novel" in video game form now as it was then.
Our award-winning mystery adventure game is still 25% off for the last few days of the Steam Summer Sale! We also have a few bundles available with some other great indie ADVs 👁️ Check it out ⬇️ store.steampowered.com/app/2689930/...
Very excited to share this bundle, and a big thanks to @kbutzkorner.bsky.social for the wonderful cover art!

Before Detective Instinct, many members of our team collaborated on making games for GBJam, a Game Boy themed game jam. Great times. Learned a lot, and had the opportunity to compose a lot of music for GB limitations, one of my favorite things to do 😌 You can play 'em here: gallowaygames.itch.io

Scorsese's storyboards for Taxi Driver were a big inspiration for me, a poor artist, to feel confident drawing ideas to share with our illustrators for DI. I can't understand why so much of the older generation of artists are swayed by this crap when they already had it all figured out.
Martin Scorsese is now a partner & advisor for a generative AI startup He says he's using AI during preproduction to storyboard projects “I’m interested in the intersection of technology and storytelling ... cinema is a young medium ... we have to be open to how it can evolve" (via NY Times)
