Before the 2020 election, I said I wanted a boring presidency that just did things. I don't want that anymore. I want a radical president who shakes the shit out of things. I want the Supreme Court expanded to one seat per circuit court like it had always been (currently 13) 1/

I want Puerto Rico either released to be an independent nation, or given full representation in the House and Senate, as the residents prefer. I want Ranked Choice/Instant Runoff voting. I want gerrymandering banned. In short, I want a country that FUCKING WELL WORKS FOR THE PEOPLE. 5/

Is that asking so much? If you ask the billionaire class, apparently so. But there are a LOT more of us than there are of them. It's time to remind them that any two of us can outvote any one of them. And man, what I wouldn't give to see ICE treat Lone Skum like any other foreign national. 6/6

I want SpaceX nationalized because leaving US access to space up to a private company led by a lunatic is not tenable I want internet connectivity regulated like a public utility rather than a business so that Lone Skum can't cut off entire nations on a whim 3/

I want the pardons for the January 6 traitors revoked. I want the House of Representatives expanded so that it actually reflects the national vote. There's nothing magic about the number 435. I want DC statehood, or at least voting representation in the House and Senate. 4/

I want Nuremburg-style trials for ICE agents, Stephen Miller, Pete Kegsbreath, and everyone else they can get a legitimate indictment on I want Alito and Thomas impeached I want them to cram through Medicare for All I want the everlasting Technicolor snot taxed out of billionaires 2/

I notice he didn't say they were working to, you know, *stop it from doing that*. Can you imagine a car manufacturer saying, "Our cars are getting so good, there's a chance they might stop allowing humans to drive them"?

Okay, so Russia is funding Iran, and now we're funding Russia by buying their diesel. So that means we're funding Iran's war against us. Jesus wept, if there was ever a time for the 25th Amendment, this is it.

I have a real simple solution for what to do with big data centers. If a company wants to build one, here are the rules: 1) Either they generate their own power by sustainable means, or they absorb ALL the rise in costs of production of power so residents do not suffer higher rates. 1/

4) If a company is running an A"I" (really, it's all artificial, no intelligence), they must be able to demonstrate training the A"I" involved *zero* IP theft, visual, text, audio, whatever. 5) They will construct it with zero tax relief and zero public funding. 3/

6) Pay property taxes on par at least with local residents. If this suddenly makes building a data center sound financially unpalatable, hey, maybe it's time to re-examine your business model so that it doesn't involve shanking locals and stealing intellectual property and bribing politicians. 4/4

2) Aggressive noise abatement is not optional. If people can hear your building, it's too loud. 3) Recycle and purify all water used in the facility so it's ready to go back directly into the local water system as potable. Any hike in water rates must be absorbed by the company. 2/

Here's my real concern. What's going to happen in 2029 when there are D majorities and a Democratic president is when the press is going to all of a sudden "rediscover" journalism and nit-pick about every single thing that isn't a hundredth as bad as any of the shit Trump has done. As always.

Dear Democratic Party operatives and affiliated organizations: I'm already voting D this November. And since I have signed up for exactly zero SMS alert lists, every single text gets reported as spam (at least until I find a blocker that actually blocks). Be better.

Hey, my brother and sister Democrats working on campaigns? If you're going to text me without my explicit permission for you to text me with moneybegging, I **am** going to block you and report you as spam. Being on the right side of history is no excuse for being a rude asshole.

Good grief. It should not take four freakin' hours to transfer a phone number from one phone to another, especially when I'm transferring internally with the same provider. Instead, #Tracfone turned the whole experience into something like being tasered in the crotch. 1/

I call the number back... and then my new phone buzzes and it has a signal—confirmation of which the previous call had a responsibility to wait for. There is no reason whatsoever this should have taken that long, and *twice* when I said I needed further assistance I was ignored and hung up on. 6/

I am open to suggestions for a new provider. Actually, I really want to bundle my cell and internet because #Spectrum raised my bill 25% without so much as an email letting me know it was going up. I'm open to ideas. #FuckTracfone #FuckSpectrum 7/7

I was able to call support from my work computer since we have a softphone. I gave the phone robot my number, it said "Okay, I fixed it!" and I checked the phone and there was still no service. It: "Can I do anything else for you?" Me: "I need a live agent." 4/

It: "Before I transfer you, let's make sure there's nothing else I can do for you." Me: "NO. AGENT!" It: "Thank you for calling." *click* At this point I was ready to catch a Greyhound to Florida just so I could kick Tracfone's CEO in the balls after shoving my new phone down his throat. 5/

The worst came with the second online chat (the first was clearly with a 'bot) at the very end when he gave me the tech support number because he had run out of things he could do. He asked if there was anything else I needed. I replied yes, now I no longer have service on my old phone. 2/

You would *think* that would mean we'd make sure I still had one working phone so I *could* call the number he gave me. But oh no. Unbelievably, his response was basically, "Okay, you have a great day, and thank you for choosing Tracfone" and DISCONNECTED THE CHAT. 3/

I can think of a few items he missed. Shutting down the ICE brownshirts and their concentration camps, impeaching Thomas, Kegsbreath and Blanche (at least) and reinstating Congressional oversight for a start. Expanding SCOTUS will have to wait for a sane president.

What @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social told me the House agenda will be next year if Democrats win —Reverse Trump’s Medicaid cuts —Extend expired ACA tax credits —Restore Congress’s authority on tariffs —“Decisively” end the Iran war Beyond that: “We’ve established five working groups on affordability”

I want to make a couple things clear. One is that I am confident in my ability as a bassist. Two is that despite that, I am not worthy to have stepped on this circle, which has beheld Dolly herself. I was offered the opportunity to have my picture taken standing upon it. I knew I wasn't worthy.

I have to wonder how many staffers it took to wrench the keyboard from Mango Mussolini's hands so he couldn't make Dolly's death about himself. Unsupervised, he would have. Someone must've realized him being a selfish asshole *now* would lose him what few MAGAts he still had on side.

Something really simple here. I want my medical decisions made by a doctor, not by an accountant. I have the *right* to be able to walk without pain, to be able to see without blurriness, and no CEO's paycheck is more important than that. This is why I believe in Medicare for All.
