Spending all my attention at the orchestra trying to locate the mystery brush player

scrolling the "First single you bought" trending topic and wondering if the blueksy user age is actually a little older than 38

Truly unbelievable how much Jim accomplished and how incredibly hard he worked (basically 24/7) to improve and scale bluesky and align it with the broader ecosystem. He's also one of the friendliest and easy going colleagues/managers I've had and a joy to work with. Thanks for everything Jim!

Hello friends! Life update: after 1.5 years, I've decided it's time to move on from Bluesky and start the next chapter. Today's my last day! It has been an absolute honor and pleasure to work with such a talented, fun team on a critical mission. I'm so proud of them and excited to see what's next

100% true, I was active on farcaster for a long time and found some great friends there that had such great intentions. So sad to see what the ecosystem has become, and how quickly it caved almost entirely to technofascist ideals. Luckily, me feeling pushed out of the space lead me to atproto.

Farcaster, the last place in tech that leftists may be found building with crypto, just sold to Network School (Balaji) who immediately performed a major purge of all accounts not aligned with the technofascist right. The right do not want the left involved with crypto.

its happening! the madlad built it!

Reams also has early support for Obsidian's plugins and bases! Lots of the features are heavily inspired by Obsidian, I have great respect for their product, and their ecosystem is beloved, so I also adopted their public API. Integrate all the things!

switching from tmux to herdr for a bit finally gave me the gusto to try out zellij. zellij is quite nice

You read our minds 😏 we'll share more soon!

i got an iphone for the first time in like 12 years. was fed up with android bugs and listened to the koolaid of people saying ios UX is superior. The UX:

No greater tale of the human condition than someone cutting you off and then giving you the polite wave

we're working on the v2 of our standard.site link cards. these cards currently link to both the article (top part) and publication (bottom part). they show a "Subscribe" button when possible, otherwise a "View Publication" button. what changes would you all like to see in the next version?

It keeps confusing me that the main call to action in these cards (the button) does NOT go to the article but to the main website Is it just me that finds this weird...? The main visual CTA for a card about an article should go to that article no...?

just watched the first episode of I love lucy. was pretty shocked how it revolves around a philip moris ad and how much Fred hates his wife

Make your favorite film sound as boring as possible without giving away the title: A chief technology officer is worried about keeping his spreadsheets private.

Japan’s department stores are, in some ways, paragons of modern consumer culture. But these stores, Nozomi Naoi writes, stretch back centuries, “starting as comparatively humble enterprises hundreds of years ago.”

"v2" is quite an understatement IMO. @calabro.io has done an incredible job at improving the experience of building in the atmosphere!

Today we’re launching Bluesky Protocol Services, a new brand and website for the infrastructure Bluesky operates. And Jetstream v2, the best way for developers to use atproto at scale, now with network replay. atproto.com/blog/introdu...

unfortunately instagram beat us to our 5th launch of the day

10 minute videos, jetstream v2, Bluesky Protocol Services, and @bsky/sdk all at the same time. what a day!
