so my mom recently spent a week in the hospital while my sister and I struggled through the decisions of where she would go afterwards, a course of action becoming clear only when it emerged that she wouldn’t eat if fed by strangers, so now she is home again and we are rearranging Everything

I have so long since lost the ability to imagine a future for myself, to have goals, to care about milestones or even history beyond how they impact my day to day. it’s funny to watch you all do that, like your lives belong to you. What is it like there? Don’t tell me.

Everyone we encounter on this endless journey tells us that we are great caregivers, heroes, saints, the type of daughters they’d want. But the truth is our parents fucked us over, as did our healthcare system, as did our social services. It’s this or let her die an ugly death we can‘t conscience

did you know I’ve been professionally diagnosed with adhd two and a half times (there was… a fire) and yet no adhd drug on the market works well for me? and all I have going for me is tea???
