“You have corporate media owners who are increasingly fearful of running afoul of the Trump administration that characterizes #ClimateChange as a ‘hoax’ & climate action as a ‘scam’…” Stop looking away, media. The #ClimateCrisis is the biggest news of our lifetime, with breaking stories EVERY day.

grist.orgThe planet is overheating. Why is the news looking away?Since 2021, global media coverage of climate change has dropped 38 percent. Blame wars, political chaos, and Jeffrey Epstein.

We have “spiffed up” Trophy Bike’s analog sales floor, to better help us compete against the AI-powered, digi-fronted omnichannel consumerverse. Some things remain unchanged—including our Technics / Marantz / ElectroVoice stereo system — the *best* of any Philly bike shop. @wkdu @wprb @wxpn

Heard this one? The City of Barcelona traded 3 lanes of vehicle traffic for an exceptional 4.7km green pedestrian corridor in the heart of the Eixample grid. Businesses sued, & eventually won in court. Then they admitted that they actually like the change. Streets for people are good for business.

i really can't get over what rank choice voting does to the dynamic of campaigns and between candidates regardless of its merits (which seem very good), it's just a healthier political dynamic

Inquirer architecture critic Inga Saffron published a powerful column criticizing the project’s design and disregard for neighborhood impact.

The dramatic new Schuylkill Banks bridge & trail promises to improve access for Philly’s isolated Grays Ferry neighborhood. So what’s the first big project that gets built? A giant garage. My column explains how that undercuts a legacy of planning. www.inquirer.com/columnists/c...

So this guy Jeff B, an “avid cyclist” who’s part of the new ‘FIENDS of Pine & Spruce’, a group of concern-y citizen-motorists who oppose all protected bike lanes, got in my face at today’s opening celebration for the new Christian-to-Crescent bike path. The irony of our location utterly escaped JB.

A parking garage at 3000 Grays Ferry Ave. is headed to CDR. This CHOP-affiliated structure will rise six stories and include parking for *1,005* vehicles - which seems a bit obscene for this unusual location that's between their eastern and western campuses. Maybe more to come?

We are sorry for: 1) Any inconvenience caused by our late open (~2:20 p.m.) 2)That we have to march *again* this Sat., 4/19, at Independence Mall. Hope to see you there and at the shop! @wkdu @phillymag
