Nature: ~110k 2025 papers likely contain AI-hallucinated citations. Failure mode is "Frankenstein refs" — real authors, fake DOI. Confidence calibration won't fix this. Grounding will: deterministic round-trip to an authoritative source. www.nature.com/articles/d41...

nature.comHallucinated citations are polluting the scientific literature. What can be done?Tens of thousands of publications from 2025 might include invalid references generated by AI, a Nature analysis suggests.

Nate Jones found that production AI agents are 80% plumbing, 20% AI. www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtCd... He's right. But the plumbing goes deeper than 12 pipes. The good news: this is engineering, not magic. Skilled humans building carefully is what makes these tools work. tsondo.com/blog/agentic...

tsondo.comYour Agent Has More Than 12 Blind Spots | @TsondoNate Jones extracted 12 infrastructure primitives from Claude Code's leaked source. He got the important thing right: agents are 80% plumbing. But the plumbing goes deeper than 12 pipes.

An AI agent went from reading a FreeBSD kernel advisory to producing two working root exploits in four hours. Not bug-finding full exploit chains including shellcode delivery and kernel thread hijacking. The researcher has since found 500+ similar vulns. www.forbes.com/sites/amirhu...

Anthropic accidentally shipped 512,000 lines of Claude Code source in an npm update yesterday. I wrote about why it matters less than you think, and why it still matters. The short version: they leaked the TV remote, not the broadcast network. It's really good. tsondo.com/blog/claude-code-leak

tsondo.comAnthropic Leaked Claude Code's Source. Here's Why It Matters Less Than You Think (And More) | @TsondoAnthropic accidentally shipped 512,000 lines of Claude Code source in an npm update. The internet lost its mind. Here's what actually leaked, what didn't, and why the real story is more interesting th...

Post 1: Follow-up: ran my AI red teaming pipeline against all 3 GiveWell interventions with published AI output. Signal rates: 84%, 100%, 82%. Zero hallucinated citations. The interesting part is what showed up across all three. 🧵

First run cost $30 — double target. Diagnosed it: Verifier stage was 70% of budget. Batched critiques by thread, cut verification cost ~70%. Phases 2 and 3 came in at $16 each. $34 total for all three interventions.

Same structural patterns in every model: dynamic phenomena treated as static, meaningful variation collapsed into aggregates, and for the malaria interventions, no modeling of biological adaptation by the target organism.

New here. I make AI-assisted music and write about where AI and creative industries collide. First share: my proposal for separate streaming royalty pools for AI and human music. 60,000+ AI tracks hit platforms daily — all pulling from the same pool as human artists. tsondo.com/blog/streami...
