On Inishbofin, with the world on my mind. I saw freedom in the world. Room to grow. New lands to roam. I jumped. It worked. Years of freedom building. Then the world grew small. Suddenly on my shoulder. I kept going. Now I am caught saving the world. I used to feel free. I used to know how.

This is a vitally important article. I believe it is something that all citizens should share and understand. If that happens, public awareness and behavior might well change. And the next step, of course, is to drive systemic transformation. 👇 app.wedonthavetime.org/posts/6fc529...

I stayed up many nights this week writing this. Not because I had a deadline. I just couldn’t stop. It’s the most personal thing I’ve written about climate, hope, my children and the lie that we still have more time. Please read or listen: thebiggestlie.wedonthavetime.org #thebiggestlie

Exactly this. What we are witnessing is the inherent structural limit of the Paris Agreement framework. Relying on voluntary targets creates a classic Prisoner’s Dilemma—forcing a race to the bottom where nations expand fossil fuels out of competitive fear. (1/2)

Ingmar Rentzhog@ingmar.wsocial.eu

I am so 😡🤬😤😖 I’ve been following climate politics for a long time. I don’t think I’ve ever felt this upset. As the climate crisis accelerates, our leaders aren’t accelerating climate action. They’re reversing it. Everywhere. US, Canada, New Zealand, EU and now UK!

We’ve just reached 100 Agrees on We Don’t Have Time. Deeply grateful to everyone—from climate experts to concerned individuals—who shared their support and urgency. Every single Agree reinforces that it is time to move beyond structural stagnation toward concrete system verification. (1/2)

That's right. And the deadline for solving climate change is fast approaching, we need to immediately shift to a "designed model economy" that automatically guides us towards democratically set targets (including the limits of the Earth) using algorithms. 1/ 🧵

To move beyond the ideological binary of maintaining vs. replacing the system, I’ve published a brief on how to "debug" our economic architecture. Let's utilize the decentralized power of markets within strict planetary boundaries. Full text here: ttmori.substack.com/p/shifting-e... 4/ 🧵

We must move beyond imperialistic capitalism that ignores externalities and urgently build a democratic and environmentally harmonious Capitalism 2.0 (including the settlement of accumulated CO2 profits) through an experimental approach. (This is the only way to build a sustainable economy.) 2/ 🧵

“Place physical reality ahead of political expediency.”- @KevinClimate To bridge this, we need a macro-economic OS that integrates cumulative carbon debt into asset balance sheets, algorithmically forcing markets within planetary boundaries. Review: 👇 app.wedonthavetime.org/posts/6fc529...

We've reached a point where simply accumulating solutions based on the nation-state model won't suffice. A comprehensive solution is needed. In this situation, we need to be decisive and consider any time spent on the old nation-state paradigm as a waste. 👇 app.wedonthavetime.org/posts/6fc529...

How do you turn people off the green transition and deliver them to the far right? Through #ClimateAuthoritarianism. The government seeks to coerce, not to persuade. The planet’s signals are getting louder. So is our response. Around the world, solutions already exist. What's needed now: more speed, more scale. Shift a policy. Invest in climate solutions. Share a story. Send a signal that moves others. Act #NowForClimate: bit.ly/4e2lKrc #WorldEnvironmentDay

This is a very important point.

The "it-won't-be-that-bad people" are so much more dangerous than the people who say climate change is a hoax: for one thing, their disinformation seems plausible and, for the other, they're soothing emotionally. So they function to normalize business as usual (including what Trump is doing).

True solutions do not come from focusing on the problem. We need to "create" solutions with creativity. The key lies in the process of solving the greatest problem in human history: climate change. My blueprint for a new economic OS [Survival Redesign]: 👇 ttmori.substack.com/p/survival-r...

How to stop the global oligarchy? My answer is Anti-fascist Economics. Building back power for democracy starts from reclaiming the essentials of life from the exclusive rule of profits. So inspiring to join the discussion with @sanders.senate.gov. Thank you for your leadership!

My ultimate answer to this question is a youth-led Global Citizens' Congress. We cannot afford to give up on structural transformation. The next generation doesn't just need a seat at the table—they need the authority to rewrite the rules. #ClimateAction #YouthEmpowerment #SystemChange 1/ 🧵

My blueprint for a new economic OS: x.com/ttmori/statu... To "shape" the economy, we must embed physical limits into the economic OS itself, rather than just fixing markets. I’ve drafted this to treat "cumulative CO2 debt" as a core structural constraint.

The WorldBank has recognised industrial policy can deliver after decades of advising against it. But new conclusions do not automatically produce new economics. The Bank still treats the state as a fixer of market failures rather than a market creator and shaper.

Excellent article. A must-read. It's a bit long, but worth reading to the end.
