Another #wip #sideproject I am working on is a tool that lets you upload a photo and the computer will then paint the photograph. It's getting quite good results already I think! #painting #algorithm #simulation #art

How cool is that!!! My #jazz #piano #exercise generator can take into account the size of your hands and adjusts chords accordingly!! #sideproject #music

Cool and beautiful!

For most of history, the world was a pyramid. Now it's flipping. Pyramid Scheme: every country's population by age, 1950 → 2100, in 2D and 3D. Spin the globe, pick a country. pyramid.klet.app #dataviz #populationPyramid

Side project alert: #jazz #piano exercise generator. All kinds of options (triad pairs, enclosures, pentatonics, substitutions, and much more) to generate specific solos you can practice!

In #Timebender you can simply limit the number of hours you want to work on a project, per day or per week, and it will simply take that into account when scheduling your work! I'm building timebender.io #productivity #scheduling

In #Timebender you can select any period, and see how much is scheduled. But Timebender does more: it also shows you if things are rearranged, your scheduled pushed to the max within it's limits, how much time you could free up! #productivity #scheduling I'm building timebender.io

Do you have recurring activities, like spending time on your administration weekly? #Timebender easily let's you create recurring time reservations, and it schedules them automatically. I'm building timebender.io #productivity #scheduling

After testing 100s of imgs comparing tiny and big changes to the algo: I am now confident to present to you: The new okpalette.color.pizza. Powerful as before, ~40% faster, better at detecting good presets and much better at finding rare colors! Test it with your pics and let me know what you think

#Timebender let's you easily import Google Calendar events, so that Timebender knows if an event belongs to a project, only affects your availability or can be ignored. An accurate schedule, always. Quick and easy! timebender.io #productivity #scheduling

There's a 10% chance that Rowboat will kill us all before the end of the decade. Until then, I hope you'll find it's drastically faster, more accurate, less expensive, and more fun than using an LLM to play with large datasets. Our latest: buttondown.com/rowboat/arch... Give it a try: rowboat.net

I kept losing track of my own capacity across projects — every tool either organized my tasks or my time, never both. So I built #Timebender: a visual planner that knows what you can actually fit before you say yes. timebender.io #scheduling #productivity

I think car navigation maps could use a lot of basic graphic design, such as visual hierarchy: These road blocks are small, and irrelevant to my route... My hands are itching to design a prototype care navigation maps (came up with many ideas during my ride!!) #skoda #map

I worked many times with Jen, and it's always such a pleasure to work with her. She's truly one of the best there is!! Just sayin'...

In late June, Springer Nature sold Scientific American to LabX Media. I have since decided to step out of my role as a senior graphics editor for the magazine :: #sciart 📊 🧪 :: 🧵 [1/7]

Frameshift Design can be universally applied whenever you create, design or make something. It works especially well if you are dealing with high stakes situations, if you're stuck, if something is good but not great, if you want to build something new or when there is irreducible complexity.

During the workshop I will teach the Frameshift Design framework, while simultaneously applying it to a case of RIVM so that 'see things differently' is being applied immediately in a very practical way.

Very cool!!

I've built a solargraph simulator using solar irradiation data. Pick a place on Earth, animate the solargraph, draw just one point per hour for analemma view, or switch to panorama mode that projects the solargraph into a virtual sky you can navigate. eagereyes.org/app/solargraph

Wow, great project! Nice map! Fascinating topic! Congrats Moritz!

Last week I had the honour of giving the keynote speech for the last day of #VIZBI (visualizing biology) in Cambridge, UK. The topic of my talk was "Seeing things differently" in which I showed and explained various concepts of #frameshift design. vizbi.org/Videos/57391... (you must register/pay)

Just realized it's been almost a year since my (non-)declaration of indie dataviz crisis truth-and-beauty.net/texts/crisis... — what do we all think a year on? Have things improved?
