🧶 The star blanket is finally done! It came out big and I wasn't sure what was the best way to get a pic, so here it is laid out over the sofa

The #BirdOfTheDay theme is #ODG, any Owl, Duck or Goose. This is a Barnacle Goose that showed up here near Pittsburgh in April of 2025. It was with a group of Canada Geese.

I turned my Lego bonsai into autumn today!

🧶 While I was waiting on yarn to finish the star blanket I decided to start the fall leaf blanket. These half square triangle blocks are fun to knit and you can make loads of patterns with them, just like a quilt.

🌱Ugh, parts of my garden are not doing well this year. Anything in squash family is failing: zucchini, mini watermelon and cukes. Tomatoes don't look great either. On the plus side, hot peppers, snack size sweet peppers and green beans are doing great.

For a junk drawer to legal quality as a real junk drawer, what is the ONE absolute mandatory item it must include? Random screws you find around the house that you don't know where they fell out from but you might figure out some day.

🧶16 knitted half-triangle squares sewn together to make a 2 color 8 point star. I'm making 6 of these with the stars all different colors and then sewing them together to make an afghan.

Great day on the bike trail today and a 1st for me: I saw a porcupine! No pic though as it disappeared into the brush by the time I got my phone out. I was a little worried about poison ivy so I didn't want to go in after it!

🌱 My Duchess of Albany clematis is really nice this year!

My husband and I saw a dog running down the middle of a busy road. No one was stopping so we did and the dog hopped into the car. We were able to locate the owner after getting the microchip scanned!
