Watching the 2011 The Three Musketeers, and it’s terrible, but I’m mostly realising my entire knowledge of this book is based upon the Dogtanion cartoon

Pissing off the top of a cliff, into a fjord, is one of the most exhilarating things you can do with most of your clothes on. When you realise that you're being watched from the other side of the fjord it becomes even more exhilarating. Fortunately, we never met them.

It was my birthday earlier in the month. I am a grown ass man in my very late 40s….

Spotify you have two jobs - 1. providing access to music to keep the voices in my head quiet 2. making me feel morally conflicted about using you as a service

You know that glib thing people used to say about how things online will live forever? It’s one of the dimmest ideas. Future historians are going to struggle with so many blanks. A digital dark age.

There is a perfect inverse correlation between level of intelligence of a man and the likelihood of them walking down the street with no top on when the temperature is above 22°C

The happy fella on the left, or the one that looks like he’s waving you goodbye after kicking you off the land your family have owned for generations on the right?

Non-Irish People, I want to ask you something. The less you have a clue what I'm talking about, the more I want your take. In Ireland, there are two crisp brands called Tayto, and both have a mascot called "Mr Tayto". Which of the two do you prefer just on vibes?

These two idiots thank you for your attention to this matter

Language leads to communicaction. Communication leads to understanding. Understanding leads to community. They don’t care about integration, they only want separation and division and any attempt to nullify that is a threat

There's so much to love in here. but at the end of "the give love, give love" section at 1:16, when it's clearly working well, Brian May looks back at Lennox singing and gives a look of sheer joy at what's happening. Hell of a thing, music.

You know what we don't talk enough about? Queen & Annie Lennox/David Bowie rehearsing 'Under Pressure' in 1992. So much going on! Everyone's clothes, Bowie with a lit cig throughout, where Annie PROPER GOES FOR IT, George Michael singing along in the background. The amazing vocals. Yes, please!

One of the weird realities of house buying is that you end up spending maybe 10 minutes in the house you will end up spending your life paying for, but by the end of the process you're extremely familiar with the takeaways and coffee shops in the area you're looking at....

If you've never seen it, this movie is a lot of fun. It had the bad luck of coming out in a time when the shift was starting toward everything being dark and dour and ironic. This film is bright, cheerful, tongue-in-cheek, and earnest. And the main song, "Three Small Words", is a fucking earworm.
