Dear my IT admin, why the hell do you sign me out of all my work email accounts mid morning in the middle of the week, every week? My 2FA is still valid. 🫪 They're in different browsers. Plz. I'm just trying to work here.

I'm enjoying using python and pandas to reduce the amount of squinting at different excel sheets to audit data produced by different teams at work. My boss ain't hearing anything about it though.

It's Monday. I've been playing way too much Deadlock. Leave it to Valve to finally get me playing a hero shooter/moba and actually having fun

I lost all interest in next fest when all I could see was AI slop. Might check it out since the feed might be curated better now but that momentum is gone for me. Gabe, I'd call that a service issue.

Game #25 of 2026 was Restory: Chill Electronics Repair! This game is tough for me. Maybe it's because I was coming off incremental games when I picked it up, or maybe it's the nostalgia tinged art that looks uncannily like AI. Or, I played Piece by Piece, a much simpler repair shop game in March ⬇️

That it just makes sense to literally do repairs 24/7 to make money on the time consuming items. But the time to repair to money ratio falls apart at some point. I also wasn't that interested in the characters, and couldn't interact beyond arbitrary-seeming dialogue. Maybe a localization issue? ⬇️

I'd like to have seen: - less tedium in the endgame. Give me a little robot that removes some screws or a scanner for bad parts to let me target things - more engagement on the higher difficulty items - some sense of purpose to what we're doing - less vague hints about the previous shop owner???

- more items to repair than you can possibly take on, even with every upgrade (but no limit to what you can accept) - arbitrary expensive upgrades/ story gates - a nonexistent yet somehow very predictable beat-by-beat story. For a game with story in the name, it feels like an afterthought

I wanted to like it. But I felt stressed. Micromanaged. And poor. They tell you not to feed your mogwai after midnight– don't mine at night– close the store at midnight, but nothing bad happens if you don't. No jumpscares. No punished econ. No hunger meter. And some things take so long to repair ⬇️

So the good: it's fun taking stuff apart and putting stuff together. The shop is nice enough. Except for: - vaguely implied threats from half the cast - somewhat uncomfortable relationships between clients the game never really solves and never really closes out - infinite items to repair ⬇️

Normal Golf Game might be one of my sleeper hits of the year, very Atari coded with some Foddian controls with some wacky antics ensuing.

I was too optimistic expecting my colleague to have actually done the inventory she said she did. When will I learn?

I finally started playing The Séance at Blake Manor. What a game, so far. It very much occupies a good atmospheric and mystery vibe for Halloween, but also satiates my love of puzzle games that actually want you to manage a resource beyond clicking everything in your inventory or Phoenix Wright HP.

Little energy dip as my work and life normalize a bit, but being patient with myself. I didn't get to be exhausted in a day, I'm not going to be rested in a day either either. Looking forward to playing more games, and maybe taking some time off to really let myself enjoy things.

Really enjoyed playing through Superliminal last night. I'm behind on my game thread for the year, but some simple spatial puzzle action is very nice

I have a moment to breathe at work and in life, got me looking around like a Looney Tunes character waiting for the ACME explosive to go off with perfect comedic timing. That said, I might be back, bluesky.

I have finally beaten Silent Hill: townfall and I am THOROUGHLY whelmed. It's beautiful. It opens creepily... then it beats you over the head with the themes, and leaves so much off the table for the final act, which fails to change the dynamic. I see the potential but not the execution.

I wish the game had a more consistent tone or struggle, and I wish it was a more coherent experience. Like sorry Konami and Screen Burn, I can feel sympathy for the nurse you've made perform open heart surgery. I can feel something for (spoilers) an oil company inspector at the Mad Max Oil Platform.

But asking me to feel anything for the oil company CEO fending off enemies LITERALLY called Widows who hide around every corner and run away when you interact with them is a corporate fanfiction too wrapped up in itself to be satire, and too unserious to be relatable?

To the heart of it, the encounter design and experience left a lot to be desired. Getting physically stuck in a corner against enemies, having certain enemies attack you 3 times rapidly, unkillable enemies that LOS you through walls, stalk your hiding spot slowly, and do not intimidate is not scary.

It's easily the most beautiful game I've ever played, with some of the greatest medical trauma potential and angst, eschewing everything more than scalpel slicing for the invasive itch of ripping out an IV and oxygen tubes in a handful of scenes. Oh. And flashing red text?

My thoughts, in order, learning about the IKEA Skyrim mod: - wow, that old Dunkey ikeaborn joke is prophetic - oh haha you can marry the Kallax. Can you adopt kids together? - IKEA Skyrim mod advertising >>>> Herman Miller 007: First Light advertising

I think what I desire most of all this fall is a feeling of change and renewal. Lot of bad stuff out there and it has been an exceedingly long summer for me... So leaves changing and relief from the heat are what I want most, in multiple ways!

Nintendo really doesn't appear to fear GTA 6 and I can respect that. Maybe they pushed some things up and others back but it doesn't come off that way compared to how we've watched devs react to the other GTA 6 release windows. It's just nice to see one company be stable right now.

It is Wednesday, my dudes! I'm still behind on writing about recently completed games, but I've been so busy this summer that my regular busy season resumed under my nose, and it has somehow lessened my workload, which means I'll have mental capacity to delegate again soon!

There's a lot to say about the Ocarina of Time remake but I hope people are ready for the amount of weird ways to play the in game ocarina with words, instruments, or just random sounds that Nintendo has opened the doors for.

Tuesdays after a holiday always feel like a Monday (unless you had to work Monday). Also, again I say we need more holidays here in America

That's right I'm bulk posting but I've been playing SO MANY FUN GAMES. #24: PROFITS 2167: Planetary Resource Optimization & Freight Infrastructure Technician Simulator. Despite the mouthful title, the mechanics are simple, fun, and really, really awesome. (1/5)

Game #23: Bills Must Be Paid. Another of the incremental roguelite genre, very chill. Music and sound are wonderfully reminiscent of a casino/arcade and the mechanics and loop are simple, clean fun. There's no real thoughts or decisions required, which is nice for a simple evening or two of SMASH.

jokes like Labor Liquidation Machines that neither dominate the experience nor feel completely divorced from the overall tone. Normally games like this (even Bills Must Be Paid) try to include some kind of plot, and I'm grateful this one is limited. The UI is also a work of functional art, (4/5)

and it feels impactful to learn the controls via mouse before unlocking keyboard shortcuts. I wish this game a lot of success, as I think we need MORE games that are crafted to be exactly what they aim for. I'm looking forward to more out of PROFITS 2167, but I'm loving what we have already! (5/5)

Put simply, you drive a train from station to station, transporting minerals, resources, and fighting off bugs. What seems like train simulator gameplay loop quickly becomes a very tactile and engaging roguelite tower defense game. While it's still early access, it provides hours of gameplay (2/5)

across the 5 missions, and the developer has announced an intention to build more. There is also an "endless" mode. Defending stations, transferring materials, upgrading your train, rerolling upgrades, and doing it all on a time limit for CAPITALISM. There's plenty of tongue in cheek (3/5)

And game #22: How to Fish. Played through with @kikicasts.bsky.social but honestly realized I suck at FPS against small, non-human shapes. Very fun, very silly, very weird. Nothing beats being carried off by a seagull when you go down in a boss fight.

You're allowed to choose a color for your reticle, and there's a lot of good sound feedback. It's nice to have normalized choices for focal points and ways to engage other senses that normalize holistic experiences even for a game with 1 whole mechanic (aiming).

GAME #21 BACK WITH A VENGEANCE, IT'S KENA, BRIDGE OF SPIRITS. Such a lovely game to replay, with wonderful combat, wonderful vibes, and wonderful music. The combat isn't mind-numbingly hard, and if you master parry timing, you can have a lot of fun.

Game #20 of 2026... Creature Kitchen! Probably the cutest and most vibe-based horror-adjacent cozy game. Very short, but VERY fun. As someone who grew up in a rural, isolated area, this game taps into the fear of the dark and fills it with just enough friendly-yet-unsettling encounters.

I'm hoping that we get some news about Scars of Kosmora soon, but I know GTA 6 has pushed a lot of games around this year. Very healing experience, either way, and I'll wait as long as it takes. A beautiful game, with big shoes for the sequel to fill. If you've not played it, I highly recommend it.

PROFITS 2167 is probably the most fun incremental/roguelite I've played ever. The gameplay loop is super satisfying and the UI is beautiful. It's still early access but feels like a complete experience as-is.

Vivaldi's Four Seasons but it's American Capitalism. Halloween-to-School, New ThankWintermas, Chocolate Rain, and Freedom Prime.

I think I work with Narcissus because they put a mirror directly in front of their desk. Behind their computer monitor. So they can literally always see their reflection.

My eyes are melting from the amount of cologne and perfume in the office today. Plz stop. You do not need more than one spritz. Put it on your wrist. Spread it around. MAYBE walk through a second spritz if you want it strong, but NO MORE.
