The Labour Party is totally shambolic. How the hell does this stabilise the country? Once again a case of MPs seeing local results and social media and pushing the ‘self preservation’ (aka ‘destruction’ button). Most careerist politicians aren’t fit for purpose.

Amazing twist of fate.

I've written many Ukraine articles. This is one of the most extraordinary: the story of Vadym Lietunov, who spent two weeks in a dugout with a Russian soldier. Vadym fled after his own shelter was bombed and saw a fortified position. From inside came a rustling... www.theguardian.com/news/ng-inte...

Charlie has talked about Christianity working alongside other faiths, unwavering support for Ukraine, ensuring the US and Europe work together… all of which has been applauded but undoubtedly disregarded by this US administration

Love History, this is great thread.

A long time ago, I used to know a lot about foreign-imposed regime change (FIRC) and study them. I guess that makes me qualified to write a thread about them, especially in wake of Trump bombing Iran. So here goes nothing. 🧵

By his dramatic intervention calling for Keir Starmer to resign, Anas Sarwar has drawn attention to himself in ways likely to be deeply unhelpful to his own chances of survival in office and to Labour’s electoral prospects in Scotland. Amazing.

Sarwar reminding me why I hate politics. Admitting he is doing this for ‘himself’ (disguised as “for Scotland”). The act of cutting out vital organs in the hope it stops the pain in your foot.

“Mum, can me and my mates play in the garden?” “Give in 10 minutes love, dad’s doing a 💩 in the conservatory.”

Do they run media training for senior govt positions? The “errr, ummm” in every response suggests not for Rachel Reeves. It’s often unconscious time filling. Confidence thing or just a bad habit?
