Trump’s effort to undermine the midterms is already underway. His Justice Department wants California to set votes aside based on claims it admits it can’t verify. The right to vote means little if those in power can decide which votes count. Vote early.

Trump’s election disruption strategy is no longer hypothetical. The DOJ is suing California over unverified citizenship claims and threatening local officials with prosecution. The suit may fail in court, but its real purpose is casting doubt on the vote before it’s counted.
