Hey, I built a thing! For fun! US housing prices vs per-capita income at the county level, from 2000 to 2026. Image is for June of 2026. The west is expensive relative to income. Explore and see animations, county, and state level data at underflow.dev/housing

And now Codex, a dedicated coding tool, wants access to... my music applications and history? Seriously, what? Fuck. Off.

So spotify, a distributed mp3 player, now wants access to... my travel plans? And double pinky promises to never share my info? Fuck off.

The border Aussie dog demanded to go outside at 2am. She happily sprints out to find the imaginary raccoon. So I wait. And wait. Call her. Find my shoes, drag into the yard. She’s sitting on the sand pile, little nubbin of a tail going like mad, happy as can be to have trolled me. #dogs

Gustav Klimt was 17 years old in 1879 when he drew (with charcoal and black chalk) this portrait of a young girl. His superb technical ability as a draughtsman is evident even as a teenager in the way he uses shadow to create a three-dimensional picture on paper.

I really liked the last chapter of the manga! The anime still has a lot of ground to cover to catch up, but the movie they put out most recently was a great time.

Did the nighthawk/bitterbrush trail west of Lyons, CO. Warm, with lots of fallen trees up top from the last windstorm. #hiking #colorado
