Just over 40,000 people have received basic incomes in over 200 pilots across the U.S. since 2017. This is 50% more people than that, from one company, and still no UBI in sight.

These people are not Democrats. They're GOP trying to appeal to Dems.

The elections are on next Tuesday, and so much is at stake, including the soul of the Democratic Party when it comes to transgender people. I am asking you to leave a very small number of races blank in which a Democrat has embraced extreme anti-trans hate. I make my case here.

Awwww, wookit the widdle Personal Responsibility fetishist! Bet they avail themselves of public services all the time, all while acting like they are a Rugged Individual who is only ever impacted by their Personal Choices(tm)

You are not forced to take or apply for a job that requires a college degree. Going to school, taking out loans, what jobs you apply for are all personal choices you make and are responsible for

@hamilton4kansas.bsky.social , another #GOPLite willing to throw trans people under the bus for votes. They are happy to cause harm to all trans kids, because they are grossed out by trans people. That's all. There's nothing about "fairness", "health" or "safety" involved.

Adam Hamilton, dem candidate for Kansas Sen., declares tonight at the debate against Roger Marshal that "there are two genders" and that he "doesn't want biological men, boys, competing against" his daughter because "that could harm her and its not a fair fight." He does condemn bullying, though.🤷‍♀️

If there was, these Dems would be willing to talk to ACTUAL TRANS PEOPLE and ACTUAL SCIENTISTS to get ACTUAL FACTS. Instead, they just spout transphobic talking points like "biological men". They are cowards, playing the game the Christian Theocrats want them to.

"But how do we pay for it?" Pay for what, capitalism? We already are. Caregivers, interns, wage theft, subsidies, bailouts, our data, the environment. Nobody asks for a funding source there. 🤷 How about capitalism steps up and pays for basic income?

Every UBI pilot program and study shows the positive outcomes for the people receiving AND the community around them. Literally EVERY TIME

Elon Musk boosted the lie that James Talarico stayed at a mental hospital. Meta suspended No Kings’ Instagram account during nationwide actions. Staff at the Ellison-owned CBS News were reportedly told to tie Abdul El-Sayed to the Muslim Brotherhood and 9/11. Democracy dies in billionaire hands.

AI dividends aren't a handout, it's your share of an automated future built from humanity's work. "This represents the greatest enclosure of the commons in history. What is needed is a social dividend to all humanity, not as redistribution but as restitution."

Major Harvard Study on kids PROVED UBI works. + high school graduation and schooling + voting rates + conscientiousness and open-mindedness - depression and anxiety UBI is how we invest in the next generation.

He was a random guy with a gun, who heard gunfire, and decided to insert himself into the crisis with no awareness, no training, and no coordination with anyone else. Just moved in because his gun made him feel powerful. He wasn't a "good guy with a gun", he was an idiot who got *lucky*.

There was ranting elsenet about how the Electoral College was implemented to prevent the "Tyranny of the majority" This isn't true. It was literally a backup plan because the Continental Congress couldn't decide between Congress choosing the POTUS, and Popular Vote.

The Electors were there to go "Whoops, no, they went for the the sideshow act, we're supposed to pick the person who can actually Do The Job." By 1833 and political parties, even SCOTUS knew the original plan had *bombed* They've been trying to patch it ever since.

When this stuff gets mentioned in the Federalist papers, the benefits over popular vote is about, the uneducated population being at risk for voting in someone unsuitable, because they're susceptible to being bamboozled by the dog and pony show. (Gee, sound familiar?!)

Good for Alani Bankhead. She was set up by donors to drop out of the race the moment she won the primary, and she refused to. Bodnar should have run as a Dem. Glad Bankhead has a spine. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

And here's the original response from Maricopa County Elections, which honestly isn't great because it doesn't give enough information to refute the speculation:

If every unpaid caregiver in the United States went on strike for 72 hours, the country would grind to an absolute halt.

»The truth is that a guaranteed adequate income for everybody is the only answer to poverty in this country« »If I were paid for all the work I did every day, I’d be rich.« -- Johnie Tillmon, in her essay »Welfare Is a Women’s Issue« #ECIUBI2027 #basicincome #poverty Sign 2027 basic-income.eu

If "Did Not Vote" had been a presidential candidate in 2024 they would have beaten Donald Trump by 9.1 million votes, and they would have won 21 states, earning 265 electoral college votes to Trump's 175 and Harris's 98. VOTING MATTERS. A RANKED system of voting would matter even more.
