Overheard a conversation today where a GOP parent was complaining that their teen couldn't read certain books in school. MF'er...YOU voted for this. You don't get to be self-righteous and mad about it. The cognitive dissonance is wild. Anyway, #Supportyourlocallibraries, who DON'T ban books.

One of my favorite books when I was a toddler was "Little Bunny Follows His Nose" because it had scratch and sniff stickers and I was a child who loved sensory time. I was also raised on PBS, so I got the Wishbone books to go with the TV show.

This took me back to a moment in time during a Library event. I was asked by an older southern woman (GA) how I (ATL) pronounced pecan & when I said "pehcahn" her friend burst into laughter & yelled "I told you so!" in the middle of storytime & the older woman pouted, "well...good for you." 😂
