picked up my hard drive from recovery the other day and as a closing comment the guy was like "you should back this up btw, these drives fail all the time" not sure if he said that generally or because I gave them a cheap teamgroup ssd to put the stuff on (which I'm now backing up to other places)

got a brainworm for a d2 fangame where you play as my hunter Alya and sign up for extra crucible one on one lessons with a trainer (which is an excuse to make 2 more hot crucible trainer OCs clearly, in addition to naji)

It's gotta be either the 3 hr one or the 12 minute one LOL. I know for sure the 24 hr one was my previously female human hunter. And all that to still have less than 3 hours on my titan... Sorry babe

you won't believe this but CSP had this file in the recovery folder... One of the few files in there btw. I thought that was so funny, like even when I lost everything this WIP still haunts me persistently like a cursed spirit from the leviathan 🤣

Anyway the good news is that the data recovery guy said they were apparently able to recover almost all my clip studio files except 2... Expensive lesson I learned so BACK UP YOUR STUFF 📢 JUST BUY THAT REPLACEMENT FOR YOUR DRIVE NOW BEFORE YOU REGRET IT

Also while I'm ranting, (btw it was a stupid Seagate drive that died) I feel like it's so convoluted trying to research replacement drives. All the HDDs I looked at seemed unreliable, overpriced or they were for NAS storage and idk what that means for me I just want a hard drive.

I fricking hate it here It wouldn't have killed me to be more diligent about backing stuff up but I just got lazy And damn the AI companies to hell for the insane HDD prices which is why I delayed replacing my drive so long to begin with

Second severe storm alert warning on my phone this summer, which was freaky because I got it on the bus and other people did too Then I passed someone on the street who was using text to speech to hear the content of the message and it felt like I was in the beginning of an apocalypse movie
