We’re officially voting on Nov. 4th on whether to fight back against Texas and stop the GOP from rigging 2026! Tell your friends and neighbors, donate what you can, make phone calls β€” we gotta put everything into voting YES on Prop 50!! 🐻🐻 t.co/DCuWkna9ku

t.cohttps://secure.actblue.com/donate/erra-ads?refcode=ads-gs-250814-dtd-ca-22903693637-184546406552-770456120365-gavin%20newsom&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22903693637&gbraid=0AAAABBBMO9vIWOIco7d61AEDbwP...

Under the newly adopted CA House map, Prop 50 passed by at least 10% in every SoCal district with an incumbent Democrat. Even in CA40 which is intended as a Republican vote sink, Prop 50 only failed by 5%. A very tough map for the CA GOP in 2026.

Newly registered CA voters in June: Overall: 47% Dem, 23% Rep, 31% Indy (D+24) Latinos: 51% Dem, 19% Rep, 30% Indy (D+32) CA GOP had actually been making inroads with registration last year or so, but pendulum seems to be swinging back. All data is from Political Data Inc.

The old boys club on the OC Board is over with Sup Foley shining a bright light of transparency on the Board. If Connor Traut get's elected and joins her and Vincent Sarmiento, there will be a real 3-2 Dem majority in 2026!

California #AD63 (Trump+13) special election results: Chris Shoults (D)- 44.6% Natasha Johnson (R)- 44.1% Vincent Romo (R)- 9.8% Zach Consalvo (Libertarian)- 1.5% No candidate broke 50%, so this is going to an August runoff between Shoults and Johnson

Another great damn day for OC Democrats!! Huntington Beach’s voters have repealed a book banning and public library privatization plan with a huge margin. This is a notoriously right wing CA city, so huge win.

This big, beautiful break-up would be funny if it weren't our money and our nation at stake. They're not even pretending now… self-serving cronyism is the only motive for Trump and Musk. The wheels are coming off MAGA.

CA GOP about to lose all goodwill they earned in 2024 in the Latino community. If the polling stays like this, they’re going to lose seats in 2026. Nationally, Latino voters disapprove of Trump by about 60-40. CA Latino vote is much more liberal than the national Latino vote though…

Great news for OC Dems! Nancy Pelosi is investing millions to beat the last OC Rep, Young Kim. In 2024, the party spent almost nothing against her, so this is a big change. Also, Pelosi’s spending against Ken Calvert in RivCo and David Valadao in the Central Valley.

Democrat Randy Villegas in running against Republican incumbent David Valadao in the Central Valley’s CA22. The political registration in this D+12 district, so it’s ripe to flip blue and make Hakeem Jeffries House Speaker!

Another day, another CA poll showing Trump with historic levels of unpopularity! 68% of CA voters disapprove of him β€” he’s already more unpopular than this point in 2017. 2026 should be fun…

Great news yesterday β€” Democrat Betty Martinez Franco won a council seat on the Irvine City council yesterday which gave Democrats a 4-3 majority! She was outspent 10-1 and still beat corporate interests β€” amazing! www.ocregister.com/2025/04/16/s...

ocregister.comSpecial election results: Betty Martinez Franco set to become Irvine’s newest councilmemberChallenger Anthony Kuo said in a statement that he reached out Tuesday night to congratulate Martinez Franco.

Most know, but Tran probably flipped this district by overperforming top of the ticket Democrats in working class Little Saigon, which skews red especially downballot. Also, noteworthy that he outperformed top of ticket Dems in heavily Latino Hawaiian Gardens

Here's the results broken down by every CA45 precincts race/ethnicity/nationality. Tran overpeformed with Viet voters. Steel overperformed with Korean and Chinese voters, which didn't end up mattering.

Democrats are on the verge of winning a special election in Iowa that voted for Trump by 21% just two months ago! Wild.

Uncrewed@uncrewed.bsky.social

Full results from Clinton County in Iowa's #SD35 (this is about 75% of the whole district): Mike Zimmer (D)- 51.8% Katie Whittington (R)- 48.2% Now we look to Scott & Jackson Counties to see if the Dems can flip a Trump+21 seat only two weeks into the 2nd Trump Administration.

CA Democrats have taken control of the Riverside County Board, joining Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego. Every cycle, another county flips blue downballot! It's not long ago that there were almost zero downballot Dems in Socal (outside of LA)...

Hope all my LA followers have been safe. Never thought I’d see a fire this big in my own backyard of Hollywood.. Fortunately the LAFD helicopters put it out super quickly with the nearby water reservoir.

House Dems announced today which Republican incumbents they will be targeting in California. Only one Rep House seat left to flip in Metro LA/OC β€” CA40! Will be interesting to see who runs..

What's your favorite downballot election result this cycle in CA (below Preisdent/Senate/House)? Try to follow as many downballot races as possible, but hard to keep track of them all in such a big state!
