If her name was McGill, and she called herself Lil, why did everyone know her as Nancy?

My brother’s longtime friend and housemate died suddenly. If you can help put him to rest, please give. Please share this message. Greatest thanks. gofund.me/0315c2d7f

Union members in Southern California - take note!

@marcelias.bsky.social Help me out. I want to support Newsom’s ballot measure to counter the gerrymandering the GOP is doing, but I also think an independent commission for districting should be the norm everywhere. How can I justify Democrats gerrymandering? I don’t want to be a hypocrite.

How do we stop this! I want off this train

The people of #LosAngeles have a rich history of protesting this country’s wrongs and supporting fellow Angelenos even across stark differences. Take 2.5 minutes and appreciate the context for the grassroots movement taint shape, these last 48 hours. #ICE #NationalGuard

From journalist Thom Hartmann: #immigration #trumpisanationaldisgrace

This is where we are.

I’m very unhappy. Juan Carlos Gomez-Lopez, BORN IN GEORGIA, is being held by ICE. the jail in Tallahassee says he isn’t there. Where is he?

@maddow.msnbc.com You probably know about this already, but I am appalled. A citizen of the United States, born here, held in ICE custody, even after a judge says there is no reason for him to be held. minnesotareformer.com/2025/04/17/u...

There we go. Support this man.

@maddow.msnbc.com Have you picked up on the story of Nicole Micheroni? She’s an American-born immigration attorney being told by the Trump administration (ICE) she must leave the country within 7days!

I’m scared. 😟 www.alternet.org/erik-prince-...

I was telling my husband this just this evening.

If everyone who has to pay taxes and is not getting a refund files for an extension, would that leave the administration with no money to work with until next fall when the extension expires?

Just for fun, for those who are realizing this administration is not good for them. www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QGy...

re the previous repost: if they can disappear permanent residents they can disappear citizens

I’m feeling like this is the US right now

How is this even happening? Our soldiers PAY to be poorly fed? www.military.com/daily-news/i...

President Trump announced an executive order that attempts to deny citizenship for countless children born on U.S. soil. Tell Congress: Protect birthright citizenship.

#Severance *SPOILER?* I think Helly is her outie. She lied about what she did on the outside, and struggled to find the on switch for her computer.

The Smokehouse Creek Fire in Texas burned over 1M acres in 2024 under corrupt racist sadist Greg Abbott. It’s the largest wildfire in Texas history and burned across several counties. MAGA never blamed him or called for him to resign. Yet they are blaming Governor Newsom? STFU.

Just sitting under gloomy gray skies, listening to the rumble of the Port of Los Angeles. Lazy afternoon.

Anybody else have moments when you suddenly break a cold sweat and remember Trump is coming back? He’s like 3 day old chili.

Flood of MAGA trolls are arriving. Report, block, and move on.

What is your favorite Taika Waititi project?

I feel mislead by all dystopian literature. It's supposed to be a powerful authoritarian government that lords over a cowering population, and and we just need need a few brave acts of heroism to give the people the courage to rise up. Instead it's just half the country being dumb and mean.

Does anyone know if Bluesky has a “trends” like place to see what the top discussion topics are? Please and thank you.

There is a lovely Icelandic expression for pins and needles (the tingling sensation after your foot goes numb) – stjörnur í skónum. It means “stars in your shoes”
