Exciting premiere today! @johanagebjorn.bsky.social (of @sallyshapiro.bsky.social) teams up with #ItaloDisco legend Fred Ventura for the gorgeous single "My Only One." It releases Friday, but we've got you. It's from Casablanca Nights 2, which is coming soon. vehlinggo.com/2026/09/30/p...

Claude also has a Stevehoffman Mode where it just tells you you’re a goddamn idiot for not getting the 1989 German gold cd pressing of any album

I'm always down for some musical journeys with Johan and Fred. I love this song and I'm super pumped for the new album (it's got a bunch of great collabs). #vehlinggo #SallyShapiro #JohanAgebjorn #FredVentura #ItaloDisco #SwedishDisco

100%. It's not a coincidence that his three worst movies are the ones he wrote and directed, while his best movies were directed by (chronologically) Rob Reiner, Harold Becker, Mike Nichols, David Fincher, Bennett Miller, and Danny Boyle.

Now in stock, and yes, Travis Knight's foreword made Guido cry. 🥲 Masters of the Universe: The Art of the Film by Dan Jolin, concept art and behind-the-scenes from Eternia to Subternia, shot here in front of the Fright Pit in the window because we cannot help ourselves.

In add. to below, I've intervwed some of the sndtrck artists like 5 times during which more cool Drive anecdotes have popped up. I've tried but can't think of anything grand to say today about the film or soundtrack that I haven't already said or written. So I'll just say, happy 15th bday Drive!

Happy 15th anniversary to Drive! Here's a long-form piece about the soundtrack from back when the film was merely 5. Features interviews with some musicians from the soundtrack plus musicians inspired by it. vehlinggo.com/2016/09/07/d...

This was a game-changer article for Vehlinggo that was part of that 2016-2020 peak for my li'l site. It opened a lot of doors, making my and my readers' experience more fun and interesting.

Published this ~7,000-word Drive piece 10 years ago today, which means Drive is nearing the 15th anniversary of its wide theatrical release (9/16/11). 10 years! Also, 15 years! #DriveSoundtrack vehlinggo.com/2016/09/07/d...

Scoot deserves all the accolades. Consider even just his performance in Halt and Catch Fire. Wowza.

DRIVE provides

Aaron Vehling@aaronvehling.com

We talk a lot abt Gosling & Mulligan killing it in Drive (which they do). Entire cast is stacked, tho. Cranston & Hendricks at the peak of their respective shows. Oscar Isaac before he was big. Perlman is a great gangster. ALBERT FUCKING BROOKS as a cool but absolutely brutal mobster?! I mean...

Absolutely hilarious

Rock Burwell (no relation to Carter) and I chatted about his music for Obsession (heard of it?). We went deep into things like intuition in art, DIY philosophies, creative process for this score, and Twin Peaks (obviously), among other things. #obsession #horrorscores #rockburwell #currybarker

Heck of a good read here from my colleague @briantallerico.bsky.social:

Mad Scholar Frights@mattzollerseitz.bsky.social

Excellent list by @briantallerico.bsky.social of 10 movies by foreign born directors who saw the USA more clearly than its own directors did. So glad to see Robocop on here. www.rogerebert.com/features/thr...
