I rang the community vet today to book in Robin and kittens and omfg FEBRUARY. They also won't do Robin's spay until she's 4 weeks past weaning which feels wrong. Gonna ring around but gaaaah.

Erica says THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU so much. (anything Bluesky doesn't donate I'll cover, but shhhhhh)

Let's fund a spay abort! I'm going to use some of the desexing money you lovely people have donated and help out a friend. This girl was in a very similar situation to Robin, and after probably getting pregnant again, they told my friend Erica to "FINE, just take her."

Miss Ember is booked for her spay on Thursday and I transferred Erica $450 today! If it costs more, we will make up the difference, but THANK YOU all. It's true that sometimes you have to be the one who steps up and helps, and I love that we can do that for Ember.

Also you've all been asking about tiny Magpie! She has dark tabby splodges but is mostly white. She's also very snuggly and a very good girl.

Tiny little Duck looks like she has had a skull and ear growth spurt. She's still v small but she is gaining weight steadily. They will be four weeks old on Thursday.

Biiiiiiiig stretch from Duck. All of the kittens are getting fatter, and have more energy. Yay for improving milk supplies! Duck has been the smallest kitten but her belly has been full every time I checked in the last 48 hours.

After this Robin settled, let me pat her lots, and jumped back into the crate with the kittens. Sadie is a very good girl and has has 37 cats and kittens through in her life (not counting Robin + kittens) so she's used to cats.

I'm very proud of how well Sadie listened to me, backed off, and didn't escalate the situation. She's a Very Good Girl. And hopefully Robin learns that not all dogs are murderous.

Sadie was VERY excited to meet a new friend, but Robin flew at Sadie, not knowing the difference between EXCITE and MURDER. Sadie ran away yelping. Then there was a brief stand off while Robin made herself Big and Scary and Sadie made herself Small and Submissive.

TWO! TWO baby magpies are fledged! I love watching these babies so much. Furthest to the right is one of the parents, who had grubs for babies.

Erica has been watching this girl have kittens over and over and attempting to help, without luck. But! Now she's safe and we can spay her! Erica is very broke so I have offered to help.

This is Duck. Duck is the smallest kitten, but she had excellent weight gains yesterday and she is very grateful for everyone's help in giving her mama the best food. I've just gone and bought everything you sent using throne!

Mama Robin has had a brief foray into the big space while I cleaned the crate. (Yes it was an es-cay-pay) She met Tom, and is now ready to say Thank you for the accommodations but I've found a nice nook behind the washing machine and I'll take it from here.

Then we let Sadie the dog into the space while I finished cleaning and Robin remembered why she doesn't mind the crate. The glare in the first photo is because Sadie was looking at her. Robin has not had a single good experience with dogs before she wound up here.

The crate is shiny clean and the babies are all nursing and mama is huffy but I'm gonna show her how to escape to the hammock a bit later. I have zero space to set up a transition playpen for them, so this is gonna be FUN.

I said hahahaha sorry, you can be freedom when I know you're not gonna murder anyone for sniffing a baby, thx bye. And she very politely let me pick her up and cuddle her and put her back in a clean crate.

It is Saturday omg and I do not have wholesale orders or nephews this weekend. I am going to make like Sparrow here and zzzzzzzz all weekend. (Around my kitten smooshing duties ofc. And Ginny is grumpy I haven't hugged her enough so I've gotta fix that.)

Goose has a tiny little white ear tip and it is killing me. Also mamas milk supply is improving nicely, he made it to 407g today! (Cameo from Dove)

I need to say THANK YOU ALL so much. Because of your help and generosity with the last litter of kittens, I had high calorie babycat food to put mama on immediately. She is so skinny and she is eating SO much. I love that we can give her the best food.

It is such a joy and a relief to be able to say YES when these things land in my lap and not have to immediately worry about food and bills and budget. Thank you all SO SO much.

And here we are. Mama is such a good girl. We have six kittens - 2 calico, 2 torbie, 1 ginger and white, and one white and tabby.

I now have a tiny orange and white kitten named Goose. Wren is the torbie with little white toesies. We also have Robin (mama), Magpie, Sparrow, Dove, and Duck.

Everyone. There will be kittens tonight after work. Might die of exhaustion but at least there will be kittens. (They have a mama) (Thank fuck)

The baby magpie has fledged! I photographed them right as they overbalanced, panicked, and fell off the branch. They flew a very wobbly circle with mama in hot pursuit, holding their tail feathers, until they were safely in another tree ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Sure, Tom, you can nibble my hair if that's what makes you happy ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ Remember when this boy tried to murder me? Now we're besties and today be pressed his forehead against my forehead for the first time. (He's still easily spooked)

Ginny is the most best and perfect girl. I love her little face so much. And! Someone has enquired about her! Cross everything! For a cat who was feral and very sad, she's getting the softest best ending regardless.

Also, I might be super grumpy over how much Estelle's dental cost, but it definitely fixed her pain, so I will swallow the cost. She is a much happier baby.

Cocoa has found a small child to rub his belly and they were BOTH very happy with this situation. I've had my nephews all weekend and it has been so nice to hang out with them.

Also Estelle is THE ANGRIEST how dare I put her in a crate! She ABSCONDED and missed two vet appointments, so she went to jail last night and is at the vet today for a dental.

NO EXTRACTIONS! $1200 later and she has very shiny teeth and I am very broke. I was positive she was going to need 2 teeth out, and also ouch on that price. I feel like my vet is now catering for the Frenchie breeders, not the farm crowd.

Patted Cadence again this morning and about five minutes after, she decided it was BAPBAPBAP time because HOW DARE. She is ridiculous and hilarious. Previously she had stopped using claws, but today apparently I deserved claws.

OMG. No photos but I patted Cadence A LOT at breakfast and she didn't panic and she enjoyed it! All the butt scritches! And Loki sniffed me while sitting in a new spot and didn't hit me.

Okay, this is VERY cute, and! Loki didn't move when I came closer and took a photo. And then I added some ear rubs and didn't get smacked.
