Let’s start off the week with some roses for one-and-a-half-year old Bailey, our female Southern pudu! As one of the smallest deer species in the world, they are strictly herbivores and prefer nutrient-rich plant parts, fruits and berries, flowers, even nuts. πŸŽ₯: Megan B.

I haven’t seen them in the last couple days, so I think they may have headed south. There have been two juvenile Black - crowned Night Herons hanging out at the marsh during the last few weeks and this one decided to check out the fishing at the other end of the marsh!

"Pardon me, but I heard this was the Kibble Me! station?" How I found Dizzy around dinner time tonight.πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ I am not in charge here. Not. At. All. #DogsOfBluesky #becurious

Pardon our mewotion blur! ONE time I gave Binx a bit of kitten kibble in a bowl, set on top of the purple dog kibble container so Dizzy couldn't get to it. Now, every time I go into the kitchen, Binx RUNS and jumps on top of the bin "Kibble me!" I'm...so...doomed... #cats

Someone on iNaturalist thinks this incredible moss-mimicking katydid I photographed in Ecuador is an undescribed species, no idea if that is true, but definitely possible, would be so cool if a taxonomist someday used these photos to describe a new species! www.inaturalist.org/observations...

The other day I drove a friend back from the airport and the whole way we talked about how impossible it is to be a woman with ADHD while also managing...everything. About halfway home we realized there was a pumpkin sitting on my windshield.

I am cognizant of my fears, rather than letting them spill out as angst and then doubling down on that angst. Because of that, I am able to make thoughtful choices about how to treat people and where to put my energy. It doesn't always play out perfectly, but it's better than running on impulse.

I've been chimping through my pelagic pics all rainy afternoon here on the Oregon Coast. I have a lot of editing still to do, but I'll share a couple highlights: Laysan Albatross and Sealion with fish. #birding
