My nine games. I've looked at a few lists by other people, and none have had games this old. 😂 my9games.net/en/share/604... #My9Games
I just learned that in addition to the already existing Swedish mini-series on Netflix, they're currently making #AnxiousPeople into a movie, with Angelina Jolie playing the bank manager Zara. 😃 #booksky

Finished reading HHhH by @atahualpavasari.bsky.social. Enjoyed it -- as much as one can enjoy a recounting of a grim piece of history like this. #booksky

Anyone in #booksky read this? Sheds light on how Nvidia seemingly suddenly became the most valuable company on Earth. Still, I couldn't figure out what makes this guy Jensen Huang tick. 🤔

Jamessimo has an interesting project here, a completely gridless city builder: youtu.be/4heM4MqK82w I, for one, will want to follow the progress on this one! #citybuilder
I really enjoyed part 2 as well: youtu.be/BoqK5wOGpfU 🏙️

Do you still remember the time without, say, search engines? I really enjoyed the book This Is For Everyone by @timbl.bsky.social, the inventor of the World Wide Web. Here's my review: ville.saalo.moi/2026/07/16/t... 📚 #thisisforeveryone #booksky

I have needed some simple PNG editing tools from time to time, so I made this little service: pngtools.xyz There is no backend, editing happens in your browser only. No ads either. Give it a go and let me know if you find it useful! Made with ✨ vibes ✨.

Someone posted a LEGO QR code containing their WiFi credentials online and people argued nobody could possibly know where the network physically was. That sent me down a small WiGLE / wardriving / vibe-coding rabbit hole: ville.saalo.moi/2026/05/09/v...

As a research project, I built a needed tool with Claude Code. I though it would be a disaster, but It wasn't. I have some complicated feelings about it.
I made this Bluesky bot to track speeding buses in my neighborhood, using the high frequency positioning API provided by the Helsinki Regional Traffic organization: bsky.app/profile/puks... Here's the full story in my blog: ville.saalo.moi/2026/03/27/b... 🚌

"Kagi reminds me of what search was meant to be: fast, focused, and useful. In an age where every click is monitored and monetized, paying for search might just be the most quietly radical thing you can do." Check out the full piece by @craiggrannell.bsky.social: www.tapsmart.com/features/abo...

We obsess over writing code faster with AI, while PR queues, unclear requirements, and "what are we even building?" quietly eat all the time. Good read: andrewmurphy.io/blog/if-you-... by Andrew Murphy.
Did you know that only three of Titanic's four funnels actually carried smoke? One of them was, in fact, used mostly for ventilation instead. I couldn't fit this tidbit into my blog post, but I'm quite happy with the result anyway: ville.saalo.moi/2026/02/10/t... 🚢 #Titanic

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good. Stay free

Ha, I finally figured out some good use for the @kagi.com search result URL rewrites: when I search for some Java docs, the best matching results are always about Java 8. With a couple of regex rules, no matter which result I click, it takes me to the latest (Java 25) results. 👌
