trans art matters, go watch It's Bunlith, it's amazing, don't let the assholes win, don't believe the nonsense lies/rumors. the show is amazeballs and feels necessary at this point in time.

When trans creators are subtle, people dismiss the trans subtext as “headcanon.” When trans creators are loud and proud, people call it “obnoxious” and “cringe.” They just don’t want us to be represented in media at all. Because they don’t want us to exist at all.

This fake Christian grifter funnels off over $700,000 from just *one* of his many "charities." And he pays no taxes--because he's a "Christian" who doesn't delve into politics. TAX THE CHURCHES.

don't act like you don't need leftist votes and queer votes when you lose if you didn't act like you needed them during the campaign season. plenty of us will remember which candidates ran on anti-trans platforms.

given Annie Andrews' recent anti-trans ad, gonna re-up this recent essay/🧵:

NEW ESSAY on last week's deluge of Dems embracing anti-trans positions. let's stop fixating on trans ppl & instead recognize that Dems have a cisgender problem. pls share! Medium (friend link): juliaserano.medium.com/on-democrats... & Substack (no paywall): juliaserano.substack.com/p/on-democra...

honestly, i would rather live under a Democrat than a Republican nine times out of ten, but when the Democrat is repeating the Republican talking points about people like me, my options are to live under two people who i would not have a good life under.

dear Dems: do you want to foster fascism? bc this is how you foster fascism. by not actually addressing the problem (transphobia) and by running ads that repeat the lies of your opponents, you reassert their narrative. they now run the show. and you are losing voters by repeating your opponents.

remember that. republicans are your opponents. not your friends. during the election season is not the time to reach across the aisle, and the rights of human beings are not an issue to reach across the aisle on.

both of them push rhetoric that kills queer people when they both are running ads attacking their queer constituents. no Democrat needs to be repeating Republican scare tactics (with ads talking about "men in women's sports" bullshit), especially during an election cycle.

Democrats: "We're gonna lose if the leftists don't vote for us!" Also Democrats: *vote against Leftist policies constantly, reach across the aisle to damn marginalized groups, cause actual harm by repeating myths of queer people*

Dolly Parton died. Tim Curry died. i'm gonna have to listen to some Dolly tunes and watch some Tim Curry today, i guess. damn. RIP to two icons who helped me uncover my gender and sexual identity and to be comfortable with my body and my southern drawl.

i got a bunch of random followers and i'm glad they're all anti-trump, but i feel like that moment in Spongebob where Patrick comes home to a bunch of people under his house.

i know someone who has been uncharacteristically offline for an extended period. while i can't be certain bc i have yet to see an obituary with his name, i'm still mourning. i'm trying to get in touch with someone i know would have more details. but right now... i just want to be wrong so badly

Were I a king sitting down to feast and one of my most embittered servants made eye contact with me and proposed a toast "to your health" I would happily take a sip of wine from my goblet which only moments earlier sat far outside of my narrow field of vision

okay, Chiitan finding my bluesky and liking a picture of me holding a book by Branson Reese was...*definitely not* on my 2026 bingo card, but here we are. the universe smiles in my favor sometimes, and it is so h*clin beautiful.

forgot to add alt text, so here: an androgynous individual stands wearing a beanie reading "Avatar" and a My Chemical Romance shirt and a denim jacket. they are holding a copy of Branson Reese's book "Hell Was Full." the cover of the book has a cartoon rabbit happily jumping from a coyote's mouth.

You are up to date.
