Chicago desperately needs more housing development to prevent skyrocketing rents and a stagnant population. Here’s how lowering construction costs can provide a much needed boost to build more homes.

25 years. I remember the confusion as the loudspeakers came on in school and told us that the towers were hit. The next few days, at 8 years old, I was not able to comprehend how the world would change.

On this day, I grieve with the families whose loved ones were lost during, and long after that day. To the families, first responders, and all those affected by the aftermath of this attack, I will never forget.

Chicago cyclists have raised over $100k to elect aldermen who will build critical public safety infrastructure on our roads! Get hope-pilled!

Chicago was ranked the #1 most climate-resilient major city in the world. 🌎 That’s worth celebrating and protecting. As the 34th Ward grows, let’s invest in trees, green space, transit and infrastructure that keeps Chicago resilient for generations.

I took some time to myself yesterday to rest and recharge…something Labor Day reminds us shouldn’t be a luxury. That time exists because workers organized and fought for it. I’m proud to stand with working people and organized labor for fair pay, safe workplaces, and dignity on the job.

I’m pro-growth. But growth should mean more than another tower going up. More homes. More trees. Better sidewalks. Safer bike infrastructure. Great transit. Parks and places to gather. I don’t want a 34th Ward that just gets taller. I want one that gets better.
