Bluesky is dying and there's only ONE way to save it, and that's for everyone to check out this new video from me about Orb: On the Movements of the Earth - an anime show about people in the 15th century who are trying to prove that the Earth revolves around the Sun.
Wag the Dog (1997) was based on the presumption that you had to progress the story of your sham war, because starting and stopping two dozen times would be implausible
Kash Patel has huge Tom Haverford from Parks & Rec energy, and I'm not just saying that because they're both Indian. You can really see Kash launching his own line of FBI fragrances. "I call this one Stakeout."

Do not let this incredible day for American sports go by without listening to this beautiful story about Rony Seikaly—DJ Rony Seikaly—stepping up for Magic Johnson when he needed it the most.
The untold story of what Rony Seikaly did for Magic Johnson, behind closed doors, is incredible.
And the reason why Seikaly decided to do it — which he discusses on PTFO, with @foster.bsky.social, for the first time — is even more powerful.
Especially today: youtu.be/xdZvVMgSzTw?...
More people need to watch Orb
My pitch of "subtitled anime in 15th century Poland, citizens trying to prove heliocentrism while being chased by church inquisitors" always leads to glazed over eyes before I get to how phenomenal it is
Using Claude Code is a trip. I asked it to read some files, perform analysis and tabulate results. I noticed table didn't match the underlying data.
Asked Claude what happened. It can't read PDFs so it just made up the results. Next time provide tools for reading PDFs before asking me to do a thing
OHSU researchers have discovered a promising new drug combination that may help people with #AML overcome resistance to one of the most common frontline therapies.
“Of the 25 drug combinations tested, venetoclax plus palbociclib was the most effective.”

One of the Oracle (ORCL) Stargate data centers in Michigan doesn't have financing after Blue Owl (OWL) pulled out. Increasing signals that capital is starting to turn away from the sector having gorged for the past year.
lately I have been thinking about the Paramount bid for Warner Bros. mostly I have been thinking about how it doesn't make any goddamn sense www.theverge.com/entertainmen...
Found this articulating a fear I've never been able to put my finger on:
"if we allow science to become just another tribe, we will be asking people to choose between their loved ones and abstract principles"
"asking them to pay an almost unimaginable price."

And as a "study Biology to disprove it" traveler, what stuck was listening to religious professors
"That progress didn’t come from outsiders or even nonpracticing Muslims like me; it came from scholars, thinkers and activists who argued for the compatibility of Islam and evolution."
