✂️ Knip v6.43.0 is out This release is PACKED. Also it's the weekend, so I'll spare you the details. All I want is for you to have a good one ❤️ Thank you contributors! Y'all 🪨 Changelogs: github.com/webpro-nl/kn... Knip: knip.dev

This is insane! Can't believe we're on the list 🥹 Thank you @sentry.io, @syntax.fm and YOU for the support! This is very motivating, a sign we might be onto something 😅 Rest assured we'll keep your precious handcrafted code tidy as heck, and fight AI slop in the process.

Syntax@syntax.fm

We just sent $100,000 to 20 open source projects ($5000 each) that the Syntax team use regularly and depend on. Thanks to all the maintainers for all your time and efforts! Thanks to @sentry.io and @opensourcepledge.com for giving us the resources to do this. blog.sentry.io/another-year...

✂️ Supported by Knip for a while: - tsrs - TS Content Mappers - Solid 2.0 So you won't lose time fiddling with linter config 🫶

✂️ Knip v6.42.0 is out → 🆕 Support for line comments: // @lintignore → 🆕 Plugins: filesystem-routing, tsrs, @solidjs/vite-plugin → Plugins improved: Angular, Jest, Next, Nx Massive props to all involved! 🫶 Knip: knip.dev Changelogs: github.com/webpro-nl/kn...

After doing a bunch of profiling and benchmarking, improved this optimize-javascript skill. Mostly around things like workflow, stable runs and sample distributions, etc. Feed this to your agent if you want to tune performance in core libraries, parsers and hot paths 🔥 🥷 github.com/webpro/skill...

The speed and scale is unfathomable 🤯 Anthropic engineers still: - supply the invaluable understanding of the high-level inter-system components and the design-level tradeoffs - review every change request for the system - examine the intent of the change as opposed to reading every line of code

Open {re}Source@openresource.dev

Git was built for offline humans. Anthropic's clients are agents: 30,000+ merges a day in September 2026. So they rebuilt source control in-house: Scion replaces Git, Antique does code review. The ideas are meant for Git, GitHub and GitLab. anthropic.com/engineering/redesigning-source-control

Useful to see how they're positioning and using Claude themselves and where they draw the lines. YMMV, context matters.

Where do I add parsing bash scripts to the very official list of hard things in computer science? 😅 Btw what would you add?

✂️ Knip v6.41.0 is out → Even better script parsing w/ unbash v5 → New Flue plugin → Faster globbin' & better gitignore handling → Improved Expo & RN plugins Enjoy your Friday! ✨ Changelogs: github.com/webpro-nl/kn... Knip: knip.dev

✂️ Knip v6.39.0 is out Another 100% community release. Love to see the commitment to squeeze out all the false positives one by one. We're now peaking at >3M downloads a day. Who would've thought! Let's keep knipping... 🟥 🟥 🟥 🟥 Changelogs: github.com/webpro-nl/kn... Knip: knip.dev

10 months in at www.summation.com. Working on our AI Analyst, but you know I always bet on great DX & tooling. So it's dang cool we're building AX, in the open. It's like pair programming with a group of models in a shared session. Supports Claude, Codex, Grok, OpenCode & Pi. Try it out! useax.dev

✂️ Knip v6.38.0 is out Gotta say, Knip's getting ridiculously precise. And it looks like we all want the same ✂️ 🧡 The mental model and overall design still hold up. Yes, we're using AI. And yes, it has helped _improve_ quality and performance. Changelogs: github.com/webpro-nl/kn... Knip: knip.dev

✂️ Knip v6.37.0 is out → New ignoreGlobalBinaries option (useful w/ mise and such env's) → Improved binaries handling → Set jsx:true for Jiti config loader Still in awe of all the help we keep receiving. >300 contributors & counting. Y'all 🪨! 🫶 Changelogs: github.com/webpro-nl/kn... Knip: knip.dev

maybe in this era of hyper-capitalism, where new technology is making us even more rushed and dividing our attention constantly, having patience itself is a radical thing

Just wonderful to get so much help from the community. Look at all those PRs merged. Thanks y'all! 🫶 Bumped all packages (language server, mcp, create-config) and editor extensions.

✂️ Knip v6.33.0 is out → The main feat is probably support for package manifest resolution under Yarn PnP. → A good number of feats & fixes around webpack, vite, vitest and TS content mappers also made their way in. All contributors, you 🪨! 🧡 Changelogs: github.com/webpro-nl/kn... Knip: knip.dev

❌🛢️ unbarrelify v1.1.4 is out Fully automated cleanup: unbarrelify rewrites consumers to import directly from source, then deletes the barrel files. Why? Read more at github.com/webpro-nl/un... Trust me, you don't want to do this by hand and your agent will screw up and bill you nonetheless. 👇

As demonstrated in CI with a few example repos, unbarrelify scans source files, then rewires all imports to skip the barrel files. And deletes those barrels: → argos: 15 / 455 → astro: 19 / 179 → sentry: 9 / 2887 (barrels deleted / importing files rewritten) Demo: github.com/webpro-nl/un...

✂️ Knip v6.32.3 is out Some 🔥 fixes by no less than 8 new contributors 🧡 Still in awe how the downloads keep ramping up (2.5M/day!) — hopefully means both hoomans and agents cleaning up after 'emselves... 🧹 Watch this space, moar is coming! Changelogs: github.com/webpro-nl/kn... Knip: knip.dev

What Josh has sparked in me and probably countless others is absolutely remarkable. Quite frankly, one of the friendliest OSS citizen and we'll continue to benefit and learn from his outstanding work.
