As messed up as it is, I think this ad is what formally put his campaign in a body bag. I hate it and also am glad he’s a big enough fuckhead to have run it.

New — I wrote about Vivek Ramaswamy’s weaponization of Amy Acton’s childhood sexual abuse and how it’s only the latest symptom of a Republican party flush with rape apologists, led by an adjudicated rapist:

Lolol Fuck You

Deshaun Watson weathered the storm, and now Browns fans might just have to get behind him at home after that gutsy performance during Sunday’s 23-19 upset of the Bucs. ⤵️

PSA if your car has heavy white or blue smoke smoke coming from the exhaust you need to go to a mechanic immediately, like have it towed. I see people driving around like this and maybe they don’t realize they are probably destroying their engine?

I don’t like Shannon Hardin’s politics at all, but god damn there are some bold racist pieces of shit in his mentions and I will tell them to get bent.

Hard yes. This would encourage the beneficial use of high value land, which is never going to be a surface parking lot, and would motivate developers sitting on empty high value land to build or sell to someone who will.

“The goal of a land-value tax is to create a financial incentive to develop unused or underused land in otherwise developed neighborhoods.” MORE: columbusunderground.com/study-tax-ch...

I highly doubt Columbus would opt in to this early on, but if it got good results in cities that are smarter than us, maybe the pressure could force change.

I think “alpine divorce” is a phrase that needs to be removed from use as quickly as it was created. We actually don’t need “fun” new ways to describe murdering women. We have plenty of accurate ways to describe that.

I can’t believe I almost got to bump Crab Rave up and down Sullivant Avenue tonight while smoking cigarettes and flying a Palestinian flag.

You can order from The Book Loft and Prologue Books online and then pick up in the store or have them delivered if you don’t want to pack into their shops today!

Bill Corbett@billcorbett.bsky.social

It’s Independent Bookstore Day today! Please visit your favorite indie store and enjoy the book-filled, book-loving vibes. But if you can’t do that, consider getting something you’ve wanted to read at Bookshop.org. They support indie shops. Everyone wins! It’s cool when that can happen.

This is pathetic, but also infinitely more train station bike parking than Columbus has (and we have a greater population than Seattle)

Finding new ways to fuck the general public is certainly “creative”

My wife went to the gym yesterday after a number of months not going to the gym. He just told me “Now that I’m buff again…” 💀 Where did I even find this man.

This would be really funny if they weren’t fascists.

Leavitt begins the press briefing: "Could you hear our 'amen' in there? We just had a little loud prayer as a team. In this holy week, President Trump and the First Lady are joining in prayer with Christians celebrating the resurrection of our lord and savior, Jesus Christ."

Serious who are posts like this for? People on the Republican fringe? “Let that sink in.” Ok. Wow, guess I’ll go to work and do the exact same shit I was already going to do today. Stop posting like a loser and do something

The public’s opinion on safe streets is completely irrelevant. We don’t get a say on the safe thickness of resurfacing material or the angles of intersection corners. If the priority is actually to save lives then the decisions are made using science not feelings.

NWChiFiets@nwchifiets.bsky.social

This is so disheartening. Safe streets should not require "consensus." We don't require consensus for other safety measures. Just do the right thing.

I think I heard a new bird today, but I don’t know what it is. Either that or it’s some home alarm that sounds like a bird. I know there is also a cardinal but I’m talking about the first sound you hear in this recording.

I was reading Sam and Dave Dig a Hole to my son and told him once you get to a certain depth you have to shore up the sides of your hole or else it can collapse and kill you and he asked how often that happens… a lot more often than you would think.

When sex work is criminalized, police are encouraged to disregard the abuse and assault of sex workers as a crime, but instead an extension of policing—a punishment that comes with the job. (I am so sick of writing this sentence. My whole book about it turns TWELVE in three days.)

We can’t afford to transport our kids to school on buses and you want to pay millions and millions of dollars for some billionaires to have another sports team. Eat my entire ass.

If you make an ACH payment to AEP they still charge you a fee unless you agree to paperless billing as well. I will make these loser ass companies send me paper mail until they pay our government enough to allow them to not send bills.

I did a #tenminmerlin today and didn’t catch anything unusual but I did manage to get the Downy Woodpecker that frequently stays near my alley

The people who lived through 9/11 and Iraq are approaching their 40s-50s and they’re still treated like immature kids who aren’t worth listening to. We were right motherfuckers, and we’re right to say it

Expecting us – with good reason based on history – to all thank them for their service. Fuck your service and fuck you. Saving a life is brave. Being instructed to kill and saying no I will not do that is brave. But killing like this? It is the least human thing you can do.
