You see pretty commonly that people call furry and escape from reality. And while I wholeheartedly agree, I propose this: furry is a portal to what better things we could become. Fantastical notions that aren’t physically possible? Sure, but that drives people to keep pushing the envelope.

I like thinking about VR and how far people have advanced the technology just to be better animal people. It’s a great example of what we can achieve when we are motivated by things that we genuinely love and strive to be.

You can also look at fetishes in the community as ways we’ve progressed the understanding of the human brain. The simple act of being open to and celebrating kinks and fetishes allows for people to explore their psychology and find what brings them comfort, and I think that’s awesome.
