Beth Dobbin has written to Andy Burnham to ask for increased funding for ME research. We are working with her to amplify her message, and you can help (if capacity allows). Write to your MP to back her call - to make things easier, we have a template for you. docs.google.com/document/d/1...

Did you know 8 of the top 10 recycling councils in England are Lib Dem led? Mid Suffolk, a Green majority council, ranks 162nd, and Brighton was among the worst in the country when they ran it. @ollygrender.bsky.social put the figures to the government in the Lords in April.

We will cut income tax by raising the personal allowance, and take 750,000 ordinary people out of paying the higher 40p rate.

After two years of amazing work, we’re only just getting started!! Please reshare and donate if you can (link in thread)

ThereForME@thereforme.bsky.social

We're excited to share something we've been working on for a while. ThereForME is now a registered charity! 🥳 1/4

The ME strategy wasn’t good enough - and Labour can’t even live up to it! And they wonder why the electorate has lost faith so quickly. Disgraceful that exhausted advocates looking after sick loved ones have to hold them to account. I wasnt expecting much but this takes the piss

ThereForME@thereforme.bsky.social

This week we were informed by DHSC, alongside other organisations, that DHSC and NHS England have delayed discussions on commissioning a specialised service for very severe ME until April 2027. This means yet another year without NHS care for people with very severe ME. (1/3)

Well done to the rest of the team at the Lib Dem Psychoactive Policy Group who worked so hard to make this a reality

Drug Science@drugscience.bsky.social

Pleased to see the Liberal Democrats reflect scientific evidence in their newly passed mental health policy. The motion support for further research into pharmacologically assisted therapies and calls for an evidence-based approach to the regulation of drugs. libdems.org.uk/confe...

It is heartening to know that we have an ally in this role who understands the decades of neglect faced by the #ME community. I sincerely hope you can meet with @tessamunt.bsky.social very soon and that we will see a step change in government actions on #ME and Long Covid. #ThereForME

Excellent news! very excited to see Tessa continue the APPG's work advocating for ME patients

Tessa Munt MP 🔶@tessamunt.bsky.social

Honoured to be elected as Chair of the APPG ME today. I’m grateful to have @JoPlatt.bsky.social continue to serve as an officer, facilitating continued coordination with the APPG Long COVID, and the support of @actionforme.bsky.social and @meassociation.org.uk through providing the Secretariat.

Thank you Ed Davey and the @libdems.org.uk for being #ThereForME this year! Your support has meant the world to us at @thereforme.bsky.social and for people with ME across the UK ⭐️💛

December 22nd. Thank you for being #ThereForME, Sir Ed Davey & the Lib Dems @libdems.org.uk! This year the LibDems have been key players championing the need for improved support for people with ME in parliament. Nominated by Jonah Weisz @weiszguy.bsky.social ✨

A really great example of how politicians, even out of power, can make a real difference to people like myself and Didier during some of our most difficult moments

This post is unavailable.

I nominated Sir Ed because the support ME and Long Covid communities have received from the Lib Dems has been exemplary. This ‘eMEy’ award is a testament to the culture of the party and its parliamentarians

My understanding (I am not an expert on this subject) is that FII is extremely rare. Yet allegations of FII are rife against families of children with disabilities. This issue particularly affects those with Long Covid and ME. See this report ➡️ cerebra.org.uk/wp-content/u...

Thank you @helenmorganlibdem.bsky.social, @tessamunt.bsky.social, and @libdems.org.uk for standing with ME patients. After decades of systemic neglect, finally we are being taken seriously

Tessa Munt MP 🔶@tessamunt.bsky.social

June 30 + 8… still no Delivery Plan on ME. Grateful to helenmorganlibdem.bsky.social, LibDem Health Spokesperson for writing to rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social asking that the Plan be published very shortly. We want people with ME, and their carers, to know that the LibDems are on their side.

Great to see so many organisations coming together to promote the ME cause! Now more than ever, it feels like we are united to achieve progress

👋Now is the time for action @rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social Collaborative and united effort on #MEAwarenessDay from the community 🙌 #StrongerTogether 💙

This is a seismic day for ME and LC communities in the UK. Having the entire party's support behind our mission to ensure equitable funding for biomedical research dramatically shifts the overton window on this issue. Many, many thanks to @tessamunt.bsky.social and her team for their work on this

Tessa Munt MP 🔶@tessamunt.bsky.social

So delighted that all 72 LibDem MPs signed this letter to @rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social @ashleydaltonmp.bsky.social asking the govt to back the ME/CFS Delivery Plan with the resources it deserves. May this be a huge encouragement to the ME community and the start of meaningful change. #WorldMEDay

So proud to have played my part in this! Thank you @helenmorganlibdem.bsky.social for your support

Tessa Munt MP 🔶@tessamunt.bsky.social

Delighted to see my LD colleague @helenmorganlibdem.bsky.social write in The Times that the forthcoming government Delivery Plan for ME must has ambition, clear targets and resources to make a meaningful difference. As a member of the APPG ME I’ll do what I can. #pwME have waited too long.
