The Garou have a vast written language of their own commonly called Glyphery. As nuanced and complex as the Gaians themselves, Book One comes with a total of 295 painstakingly transliterated glyphs, of which 70 in total are brand new. You'll also find a full glyph scroll and 4 glyph cartouches!

Dante's story in the comic continues with a 3-part fiction called The Rot Within. In this, he returns to Tacoma to complete his Rite of Passage, form his own pack, and strike back against the agency that funneled him into the grasp of the Black Spiral Dancers in the first place.

The inclusion of 20 Tribes in total isn't mere appearances. Chapter 1 of the Chronicle has First Change Story Seeds. Chapter 2 has 5 Story Seeds for each Tribe suggesting actionable ways of running Rites of Passage. Lastly, you get 3 story arcs in the final chapter with 10 Story Seeds each.

At the Battle of Crescent Moon, Stargazers helped Albrecht’s pack seal the Storm Eater away and save Gaia. The price was the tribe itself: its numbers and its patron Chimera were so spent it couldn’t stand alone. The Children of Gaia offered a place in their tribe, and the two became one family.

In the 1830s a Bane that fed on the Wyld swallowed a Weaver-spirit and became the Storm Eater, a hunger that could threaten the whole continent. The greatest heroes of every Tribe sacrificed themselves to bind it in the Storm Umbra. In 1976 banes battered that prison until it burst, and it was free.

My service dog, Remi, had a cluster seizure last night/this morning. We were thankfully able to get proper treatment for him and start a new med, though it put us in debt. Hatha revitalize Gaia's Heart by taking its Shard Seeds (fossils tbh) and performing the Dance of Centuries, transforming them into living seeds. If kept hidden and many Hearts are carefully grown, a Shard Caern may form. A Shard Caern can eventually be built into a Great Caern if defended enough.

Millions of years ago, a type of flower called Gaia's Heart grew simultaneously in the physical world and the Umbra, bridging the realms. Kahaila knew the rites but didn't trust the Garou Nation. Margrave Yuri Konietzko was willing to break his Tribe away from the Nation to help them find its seeds.

The loss of the Great Caerns has brought the Age of Heroes into a period of rediscovery and rebuilding. Using the old Rites is liable to summon a storm of banes that will destroy everything in their path, before spreading outward from there. Gaians have had to adapt their means of spiritual renewal.

In the absence of a greater Garou Nation, a deadlocked Council of Tribes, and a dearth of Elders, the Council of Auspices have become the standard governing body of modern Septs. It consists of all the leaders of each pack voting together on matters concerning the whole when interpreting the Litany.

Thinking like a wolf doesn't come naturally to many animals, humans included. However, Garou society itself is built upon it. To understand wolf communication and society is to better understand Gaian society. Book 1 has many sections dedicated entirely to how to think, talk, and act like a wolf.

Often, it can be difficult to give your players the agency they need to feel like they can really explore your world or be a part of it. Quests and Downtime fix this by giving you a set of tabletop tools that let you take your players' ideas and help accomplish their goals in between game sessions.

Fluster allows a killi to use her social abilities to throw off their opponents' focus and confidence. This can be especially useful in situations where a Garou might not have the upper hand in raw attributes alone. The better the control over one's Rage a Gaian has, the higher her Fluster.

You are what you eat. Your Spirit Affinity reflects the broods of spirits you have attracted to yourself over your life, and the strength of that Affinity. Possessing a level of Affinity with a brood grants access to all of that brood's Gifts for that level. Gaians have new Gifts like never before.

Animism reflects one's capacity for spirits to work through them. Be they your direct ancestors, sources of inspiration, spirit patrons, heroes from long ago, or the very fauna that surrounds us. They channel your body and mind for a time, lending you help in social, physical, or mental tasks.

The Western Concordat, consisting of the Get of Fenris, Glass Walkers, Silver Fangs, and Skysingers, has existed since the Concords long ago. Direct action is the nation's imperative front. With a gridlocked Council, change feels inevitable among those who still believe in what it can become.

Today we meet the Eastern Concordat, consisting of the Bone Gnawers, Black Furies, Children of Gaia, and Shadow Lords. They believe healing the Gaian Realm fights the Wyrm. No one knows if it can be saved. They only know that standing still is its own corruption, and time is running out.

Gaian society begins at home. The Hearth lies at the heart of the family and forms the spiritual center of every one, be it house, apartment, car, or camp. Covens are the Hearths that form your community, and the Fellowships are the societies that exist outside the Sept. It all starts at home.

It's officially pumpkin season, which happens to be a special treat for our ambassador wolves this time of year! 🎃🐺 Although wolves are classified as carnivores, they can sometimes have an omnivorous diet. Along with meat and eggs, wolves may also enjoy fruits like pumpkins. #wolffact
