What a pain, 33k into my story and I think it needs a complete rewrite. The good part is I know what I did wrong, so I can just avoid doing that the next time through. The bad part is knowing how much time I spent writing all that. Ughhhhh. Anyone have encouraging words?

Sure, AI can generate art or writing: But remember, none of them will be the way you create them by your own hand. AI can't replace your unique life and experiences. People can prompt all they want, but it'll ultimately be soulless.

#weeknightwriters I just use character arcs and I write one sentence descriptions of what the next chapter's main event will be. As long as I know the rough direction of things, I can always go back and fiddle with the pacing.

#weeknightwriters I probably fit the bill of Lawful Pantser. I've developed my own method of writing ahead, but making sure I don't overly plot things. Weirdly, I also worldbuild a lot before I even start writing. I spent a good few days listing out all the Tarot Archetypes for my Umbral abiltiies

I think collectively, we have trauma from covid in 2020. People talk a lot about 9/11 in the US, but I never see anyone talk about the trauma that was inflicted by a rampant viral pandemic that killed millions and disabled many thousands. It's like we've all memory-holed it.

It should be said that while paypros and the government are creating age gates for porn sites and banning content like underage or incest roleplay videos, scams are utterly rampant and seems to be permitted. Meta is also a contributor to the above regulatory effort. I'm just pointing this out.
